Mitutoyo 500-195-30 Advanced Onsite Sensor Absolute Scale Digital Caliper, 0-4 Range, Stainless Steel

Greater than one weekI bought this shorter 4 inch caliper because the compactness attracted me. But, the case it comes in is for the full-size 6 inch model. So, what’s the point? It takes up just as much space in my gear bag. The calipers are nice, the case is a fail.

> 3 dayThis 4 caliper is really great. I already have the same in a 6 but I needed something that could get into smaller areas.

> 3 dayThe caliper is genuine Mitutoyo. Smooth, well machined, accurate. Serial number is matching the one on the inspection certificate. SR44 battery included. Only complain is the gigantic 6 case (and the outer package says Dial Caliper)

> 3 dayI wont even use non-Mitutoyo digital calipers. These are so flawlessly made, and work so well, that everything else feels like junk by comparison. The jaws dont wear anywhere near as quick as cheap brands- and they never, ever, lose their place. This is the perfect digital caliper- well worth the cost. Lets put it this way- I went to watchmaking school in the US. The only digital calipers used there were these series from Mitutoyo. I use these constantly as a machinist too. They pay for themselves. Dont even bother with anything else, the rest is junk that the jaws will wear prematurely on.

> 3 dayExtremely accurate. 4” size does take some getting use to when swapping from a 6” but nothing a little use can’t fix. Well worth the money. Digital read out very easy to read
