> 3 dayI’ve used these calipers and many other mics and tools offered by Mitutoyo in my career. They never failed me. Tough. They take the oily, dirty jobs you are work on.

Greater than one weekYou just cant beat the quality and performance of Mitutoyo Id say theres only one other brand as good and thats Starrett. The precision on these are incredible theyre accurate to less than .001 and the battery included literally lasts a year maybe more if you are a machinist working with jobs that have tight tolerances then these are for you, their worth every penny. Just be aware these calipers are VERY sensitive particularly the jaws, just one drop on a hard surface will throw these things off by a couple thousands or so, so be very careful if you take good care of these theyll last you a lifetime youll be a very satisfied customer.

Greater than one weekI bought this for my silver jewelry making. This one is so much nicer than my old one the only thing missing from this one is the fraction function that I have on my old one has but that’s minor in comparison. I will never use any other caliper, I also payed the extra money for the piece of mind and got the calipers with the certificate of calibration.

> 3 dayI have this one for the workshop. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LPIWAYO/ I wanted a second one for inside the house. So I bought this caliper. Knowing what I know now, Id have spend the extra money to get the one I bought before for 2 main reasons. 1 - This one doesnt auto-power off. 2 - The buttons are small and practically flush with the plastic face. Neither of which was an issue with the other one. The other doesnt even have a power button it powers up and down automatically. Functionally it works fine and seems well made. Id just rather not be annoying by trying to press buttons it should be easy to press. Or opening the carrying case and noticing it was still turned on.

> 3 dayI have been using cheap Chinese calipers for years. The difference between the Mitutoyo and the cheap Chinese calipers is night and day. The machine work of the Mitutoyo calipers is of a very high standard. Granted the price difference is huge, but after using the Mitutoyo calipers I can say the price difference is worth it in my case. I should have bought these years ago. Highly recommend Mitutoyo over anything else.

> 3 dayI was hesitant to buy these because there are so many fakes out there. But after a lot of research (well 30 minutes and 3 sites worth) these are the real deal. Sold and shipped by Amazon is also a certified retailer of authentic mitutoyo calipers. They should come with an sr44 battery and the battery itself should say sr44 not just the packaging. The fakes reportedly have lr44. It should have yellow tag around the know and come in a sealed plastic bag. All around these fill flawless. Originally I thought spending 140 on calipers was absurd especially since my need for them doesnt require .0000 accuracy. But the over all quality of these is unmatchable. Prior to these I was using the igaging calipers. Wont go back

> 3 dayI just purchased this thru Amazon, this is an excellent high-quality digital caliper. For those searching on eBay and elsewhere, this is the real Mitutoyo product in the original case, with the OEM 1-year warranty, and an official calibration certificate whose serial number matches the instrument. This is NOT a cheap imitation, its the original Mitutoyo product and the seller (listed as MSI-Viking Gauge) is an authorized Mitutoyo reseller. I did a lot of research on the Internet to be sure I was buying the real thing, and this is it! The differences between this caliper and the imitations are: The action is very smooth, the readings are stable and repeatable (tested with gauge blocks), the readout is four decimals for inches, two decimals for millimeters, and the construction is very solid, no wobble or shake. Plus, this caliper has an absolute scale, it always remembers the zero-point and you only have to reset it when you change the battery. The cheaper scales drift and need frequent resetting. You can make relative measurements easily (yellow button), but when you turn that feature off, it returns to the original zero without resetting. I highly recommend these calipers, the only caveat is that these are NOT auto-off, you must remember to turn them off after use. However, based on my experience with other Mitutoyo gauges and micrometers, the battery lasts a LONG time so I dont see this as a problem.

> 3 dayThe difference between Mitutoyo and the cheap knockoffs are readily apparent the 1st time you use them. These are smooth and accurate and the fit and finish are very nice. They are pricey but you are paying for precision.
