> 3 dayBetween these and Sterrett brand you cant go wrong. These are legit and not clones or copies. I got them for the ease of measuring Imperial and Metric. They are super accurate and work great.

08-06-2025I just purchased this thru Amazon, this is an excellent high-quality digital caliper. For those searching on eBay and elsewhere, this is the real Mitutoyo product in the original case, with the OEM 1-year warranty, and an official calibration certificate whose serial number matches the instrument. This is NOT a cheap imitation, its the original Mitutoyo product and the seller (listed as MSI-Viking Gauge) is an authorized Mitutoyo reseller. I did a lot of research on the Internet to be sure I was buying the real thing, and this is it! The differences between this caliper and the imitations are: The action is very smooth, the readings are stable and repeatable (tested with gauge blocks), the readout is four decimals for inches, two decimals for millimeters, and the construction is very solid, no wobble or shake. Plus, this caliper has an absolute scale, it always remembers the zero-point and you only have to reset it when you change the battery. The cheaper scales drift and need frequent resetting. You can make relative measurements easily (yellow button), but when you turn that feature off, it returns to the original zero without resetting. I highly recommend these calipers, the only caveat is that these are NOT auto-off, you must remember to turn them off after use. However, based on my experience with other Mitutoyo gauges and micrometers, the battery lasts a LONG time so I dont see this as a problem.

> 3 dayMade in Japan, you know wont go wrong; it does cost a lot more than China copies, but all the controls are smooth and easy to use, no lag on anything. Although Im sure a $20 China made one can do the job too, but if you have a choice will you pick made in China? lol

> 3 dayI love these calipers. These are accurate and come in a solid case for storage. Ive made the mistake of buying cheap calipers in the past and finally I did the right thing and bought a pair of these Mitutoyos. Japanese quality!

> 3 dayThis is not a cheap Chinese nock off. Smooth action and holds it calibration well. The only reason I rated “easy to use” as a 4 was because it doesn’t have an auto on feature like my 12” Mitutoyo. Mitutoyo evidently did this to help save the battery, but this isn’t the fault of the seller.

> 3 dayI bought this for my silver jewelry making. This one is so much nicer than my old one the only thing missing from this one is the fraction function that I have on my old one has but that’s minor in comparison. I will never use any other caliper, I also payed the extra money for the piece of mind and got the calipers with the certificate of calibration.

> 3 dayThis tool is ALL THAT U COULD EVER WANT IN A CALIBER..... However buy the right lenth dont make my mistake. When the 6 one is extended over 3/4 the HEAL of you hand go over the end and puts pressure on the depth tool/gaudge and could be EASILY be BENT, No Fault Of The Tool. So may I suggest buy the 8 one if youre going to mesure items longer than 2 to3 , save the stress of bending your depth gaudge As in the boating industry, buy your second boat the first time, just saying
