> 3 dayEvery time I close it, it reads -0.01mm If I move it in mid air it goes back to zero. Or if I slightly tap it against something. Sometimes it goes to zero all by itself... This makes me cringe, will it go back? Will it stay?? Randomness.... It is exactly the opposite of what I want. Is it significant? No But it feels anoying There is no way around it. I have zeroed it many times. By doing a long press to zero to absolute. Everything else works and feels quality.

> 3 dayIts already a given that Mitutoyo is of the highest quality right alongside Starrett. So much so that the USA is getting flooded with overseas knock offs of the Mitutoyo Calipers. Amazon and a few other reputable Mitutoyo sellers are your safest place to buy them. But steer clear of eBay! There is about a dozen YouTube videos as of this writing, that can help you to verify if yours is genuine I was happy to determine that the one I purchased here on Amazon is indeed Authentic. Be careful out there, otherwise you could end up paying well over $100 dollars for a $10 dollar knock off.

> 3 dayBetween these and Sterrett brand you cant go wrong. These are legit and not clones or copies. I got them for the ease of measuring Imperial and Metric. They are super accurate and work great.

> 3 dayI have to trust measurements and after working with these for a while now I do. It hurt a bit to pay the price but no regrets!

> 3 dayThis things amazing! Need a precision measurement tool? Want to buy something made in Japan with love by people who care about making a nice thing actually really really nice! ‽ This is the thing for you! Sure it’s a bit more expensive than the cheapy trash ones but you will definitely have this for a long time and know that you are measuring with confidence!!! 100/10 recommend.

> 3 dayThe only negative about these I am noticing right now is the surface finish and burrs on a few of the non-critical surfaces. They measure fine, but I was slightly disappointed in the fit and finish of those few areas. The other Mitutoyo calipers Ive used havent been like this. Its not a big deal, but it is there.

> 3 dayThis caliper is well worth the money. I had some other brands, but they never last. You can not go wrong with Mitutoyo.

> 3 daySeems to be a quality set of calipers, only like the Japanese could pull off. Mine came with the battery that is stamped Japan and the writing on the back is white. Watch out for China ones with whiteish lettering on the back and a cheapo battery.

Greater than one weekThe difference between Mitutoyo and the cheap knockoffs are readily apparent the 1st time you use them. These are smooth and accurate and the fit and finish are very nice. They are pricey but you are paying for precision.
