Good price . I checked the normal things to make sure it is not a clone. They feel nice( not grindy and cheap ) the serial numbers match the inspection certificate. The battery in the package and the number on the package matches. I even tested them against gauge blocks and they are spot on!

Seems to be an authentic one not 100% sure. Well made and sturdy with repeatable measurements. Smooth sliding.

This is my second caliper from mitutoyo. Everything you expect and more. I use it daily and have no issues. Just wish they wouldnt have swapped the zero and mm buttons. But Ill get use to this one real soon.

Great calipers, almost everybody at the shop I work for own the Mitutoyo 8 coolant proof calipers. Great for taking measurements of parts in the machines that have coolant dripping on your calipers

use this daily in a professional setting. always accurate and easy to read. like most things in the world, you get what you pay for. would certainly recommend.

Authentic Mititoyo calipers.

At the time of writing this review (late 2021) this caliper is the cheapest coolant proof caliper in the line up of good quality measurement tools. Ive had several Mitutoyo calipers, so quality was no concern when it came to buying this coolant proof one. I will say the market is saturated with fakes of Mitutoyo, but this one is legit! It is solid, repeatable, battery lasts well, and accurate. Ill often check it to micrometers, or stack up gauge blocks and a test indicator, and I havent ever seen it measure off more than .002. Ask anyone that actually knows about checking parts, and they wont trust calipers to less than .003-.005.
