Moen YB2824CH Eva Collection 24-Inch-Towel Bar, 24 Inch, Chrome

These fixtures use a ridiculous mounting system. These are mounted by installing a plastic fitting with a single screw and then snapping the fixture onto the plastic fitting. Im concerned about the durability of the plastic fitting and the ability to find a replacement fitting if/when it fails. All other bathroom fixtures Ive installed have a very simple, almost standard sheet metal bracket that mounts with two screws (vertically oriented). Ive always been able to install these types of brackets using existing drywall anchors. The Moen fixtures can be mounted with a single center screw or two horizontally oriented screws. Why horizontal! This required me to remove the existing drywall anchors, then patch and paint the drywall to mount these fixtures. Really annoying to have to do so much work to use an inferior mount design.

Perfect - shiny chrome, same width as a bath towel. Sturdy: holds one wet towel open or two folded in half.

This Towel Bar comes in sections but is easy to mount and instructions are easy to follow. It is important to follow guidlines for measuring of wall mount so that the bar will fit correctly. But as stated, the instructions make things clear. Once together, everything is tight and secure. There is some back and forth play in the actual towel bar as it slides into each side piece. Finish is very nice on the Moen Eva Line.

Bathroom

The brushed nickel finish of these Moen products has a warmer tone than the brilliant brushed nickel on the Kohler faucets I bought for the bathroom. I prefer this finish and will likely replace (again) the faucets. This Moen finish also seems to be the more common one for other brushed nickel products.

Bought to match the rest of the bathroom fixtures. Looks good!

To echo other reviews, the installation system is awful. If you dont get it right, I think the only way you can remove it is to rip it out of the wall. Im glad I read from a previous reviewer to add some screws in the small holes of each side of the molly bolt because that helped. The bar looks beautiful and matches my faucet hardware but geez, it was stressful to install and shouldnt have to be so.

Bar itself looks good, but the mounting method is no good. One of the plastic tabs broke off after a few years and the bar just fell onto my tile floor. Re-mounted with a replacement piece from Moen and it months later the bar fell again. Im now looking for a new towel bar with a different mounting method.
