Ok, first of all its a shame that such a great product wasnt made in the U.S. This bag, is really on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for, everything is just sturdy, even when I need to sprint across the airport I just fasten the hip strap to my waist and I can just be carefree. Say you need to go through rain? no problem, the water just slides against the fabric. Doesnt even smell bad in damp conditions. This is a heavy bag though, I usually pack my netbook in it, a full sized knife, a flashlight, wifi device, tactical pen. First aid kit. and sometimes a gun. I know its overkill, but sometimes those long camping trips just need one bag where you can say this is emergency bag

I purchased this bag based on many 5 star reviews. Maxpedition has come up with a great design, but their Quality Assurance process needs to be improved. The stitched on pocket on the flap of the bag looks like it was stitched on by someone learning to sew. The folks at Maxpedition simply call it just a cosmetic issue, but when people look at this bag, the first thing you notice is the questionable stitching located right above the Maxpetition logo, it speaks for its self. When you spend good money for a nice product, you expect a good product, not a product with questionable parts. Note to self, in future if there is something that I want from Maxpedition, find a store somewhere that carries it, inspect it, and if it looks good, then Buy it.

I bought this as an EDC and a range bag. It fits my Sig and two 17 round mags perfectly. I also use it for work. Slung across my body with the bag carried to the rear it is amazingly comfortable. There are more compartments than I have stuff. The compartments are laid out in a very useful configuration. I am a firefighter so I carry my portable radio with the Mic attached and it fits like it was made for it. The nylon is tough and the quality excellent. I could not be more happy with this bag. Just buy it.

Maxpedition bags rock, as many of you probably already know. i had a smaller one called the jumbo versipack for day trips and now we have this larger one for baby essentials for our newborn too. Quality is exactly what I expected and will use it for years to come for anything life throws at us. Wonder how long until I buy another Maxpedition, since its kind of addicting :P

It’s coming apart at the stitches

Large and in-charge, the mongo has a massive main compartment surrounded by plenty of slip & zippered pockets, Rear CCW storage, phone pouch, a large array of attachment points, and tons of loop field for patches & accessories. The mongo holds true to the ergonomic Versipack design, so you can load it up and it won"t drag you down. Equipped with a comfortable shoulder and waist strap and a rear padded Island that conforms to the body, This spacious everyday carry is a great work bag, camera bag, Diaper bag or short-excursion bag. If you love the jumbo Versipack but need more space, The mongo Versipack is just the bag for you.
