> 3 dayThis phone performs like a $700-800 phone but costs way less. When using this phone, its easy to forget that youre using a budget phone. It has a great screen and is easy to hold. I have larger hands and small phones or phones with curved screens are very hard for me to hold without dropping, I dont have those problems with this phone. The downsides to this phone are the lack of wireless charging, NFC, and whats now considered low storage space. The first two features I hardly use and would gladly give up for the price and an SD card solves the storage space issue.

> 3 dayI was very pleasantly surprised by this phone. I actually bought it to be a backup to my Very High Dollar Pixel 3 XL and to use with my DJI drone controller. The Speed & Smoothness of the display is impressive. Although the display is only 720p, I assure you that you cant really tell the difference in the video quality between 720 and 1080 on a 6 inch screen. The audio quality is excellent and the volume can be very loud! The only reason I gave it only 4 stars overall, is that it only has 32 gb of internal storage. 64 gb would have made it a 5 star phone for sure. This phone is a great value for the price. Match this up with the $15.00 a month Mint Mobile plan and you have a wonderful budget priced cell phone system to use as a backup phone or a daily driver.

09-06-2025I am a mobile apps developer. I purchased this phone with no intention whatsoever to use it as my daily phone, put to debug Android applications. For that purpose, it works great. But as I got used to the phone, I found myself liking it more and more, to the point where I ultimately removed my SIM card from my iPhone 7 (AT&T) and am now using the Moto G Fast as my primary device. Compared to my aging iPhone 7, the battery life is great. I had almost forgotten that a smartphone could actually last the entire day without a recharge. The screen is also phenomenal at the price point. Granted, it does not get quite as bright as my iPhone 7 does (that phone actually hurts my eyes if I turn the brightness all the way up), but beyond that its a great screen and the phone bezels basically do not exist. Performance is great. I have noticed no slowdowns whatsoever, and I would rate it as being at least on-par with the iPhone 7. Now, the iPhone 7 is an older phone so that might not be saying a lot, but to me that phone is snappy as well. I am not doing any gaming or heavy tasks with these devices, so neither phone has slowdowns in my everyday usage. I said I do not do much phone gaming, but I did test it out on a couple of games. I installed Minecraft, which runs great on the phone. The only issue I had is that i find the larger screen size uncomfortable to hold while playing a game in landscape mode such as Minecraft. Maybe uncomfortable is not the correct word, but there are instances where I have to let go of the phone with my right hand to tap on something towards the left side of the screen. Maybe its just the way I hold it though, again I am not really a gamer. I also tested streaming my sons Xbox One to the phone using the Xbox app and a bluetooth controller, and it worked without issue. Camera quality is hit or miss, possibly the only major con of the phone. If camera is your #1 concern then look elsewhere, of course if that is the case you probably are not shopping in this price range anyway. In well-lit conditions, the camera quality is about on par with my iPhone 7. In poor lighting though, pictures are not that great. It can theoretically record 4k video, but I honestly did not think that the 4k videos looked any better than the 1080p videos, so I kept the setting on 1080p. Built in storage is a weak 32mb, but unlike many high end models out there, you can add a Micro SD card, making the low storage basically a non-issue. I put in an old 64gb card I had lying around, and you can have the phone format your card to use it as additional internal storage. The phone charges via USB Type C, and charging seems fast enough, although Ive really only had to charge it a few times in the week and a half Ive had it, and Ive done at it night time so the charge time was largely unnoticed and irrelevant. The phone also includes the illusive headphone jack, which is always welcome these days. There is almost no bloatware included with this device, just a couple of Motorola apps. It is mostly stock Android with minor Motorola customizations. I installed an AT&T SIM card and I am getting good reception and good data speeds. WiFi connectivity is also good. I have not tested out hotspot tethering yet. All in all, I am blown away by how much phone you can get now days at this price point. I was planning on upgrading to an iPhone 12, but I think I am going to stick with this cheap Motorola for the time being. For the price of a new iPhone, I could just get a brand new Motorola every single year for the next six years, at which point the iPhone would be long past due for a replacement anyway. If you are looking for a good budget phone, or even just a good phone period, I would save your money and not hesitate to get this thing. I dont see any reason whatsoever to shell out upwards to a thousand dollars (and even more now days) on a flagship phone, when a sub-200 phone works perfectly fine.

> 3 dayIts a good price for a smart phone, bit dont try comparing it to any of the new phones on the market. Watching videos-screen is only 720p and pretty dark. With brightness maxed, netflix is watchable in a dark room. Youtube handles the dark screen better. Apps-just using the phone normally causes it to freeze at times. It is slow at just about everything it does. I havent had any issues using any apps, but it does load newer apps very slowly as its not a processing powerhouse that most of the new phone are. Again, it does the job. Camera-takes decent pics to share with friends, but doesnt come close to any of the new cameras out there, especially the iphone camera. Dont expect to take photography shots with this phone, but again, I have taken plenty of family pics with it. It works, just not ground breaking by any means. I bought it as a replacement as my last phone was stolen, and for what I do, it works fine.

> 3 dayThe Moto G Fast seems to be a great phone so far. I have used it two days and I still have 40 percent on the Battery. It has good sound and visibility. The cameras are fine for me, way more than I am used to. It has a bigger screen than I am used to but the phone pockets well with a thin phone cover. It is as fast as my older android 8 phone that I wont name that when new was between 600 to 800 dollars. I was concerned it may not be as fast as my wifes larger Moto G Power with 1080 screen and 4GB of ram but I set hers up and I cant see much difference in speed or the screen for what I use a phone for. Maybe I would if I gamed on it or watched lots of hd movies but that is not what a phone is for in my opinion. For the sale price here on amazon for this 2020 phone with android 10 I couldnt pass it up and so far I am glad I didnt. This Motorola G fast worked great in transferring my contacts and files from my old phone and after loading my ATT sim card and micro SD card with my music on it all worked well. Motorola phones do operate a little different than the other android phones in some areas but it isnt much of a learning curve. I think for the money, if they last as described, they will be hard to beat and maybe they will force some of the other ridiculously priced phones to come back down to earth. Hope this helps. 12/12/2022 Update: I am still very happy with this phone, I have to charge it about every 4th or 5th day but I am not on my phone 24/7 like some folks. It has not missed a beat and I can not see buying another one unless this one breaks. I dont know why Motorola stopped building this one, maybe it was too good, lol. Check the used market and you dont find many of these for sale, I suspect it is because they are too good to get rid of. They have held their value better than most. Just my humble opinion.

> 3 dayIts always fun to have a new phone and this one was $100.00 when I bought it, for a phone, pretty affordable. Its taking me some time to learn how to use it but Im getting it. Good picture display, really nice camera, I shake a lot and this camera makes up for that. Its slow though, always takes longer than youd think to load a page, or to turn onopen it, Google something, it gets there but it takes a minute. Im happy with it. Im sure more expensive would work faster and better but I can afford this one so, hooray!

Greater than one weekI bought this for my Mom because she needed a new affordable phone. Seems to work really well but she has had it for a month and still cant figure out how it works. We dont have Lively/jitterbug phone options in area so I thought this phone would be a good fit. She struggles with technology. I think its a decent phone and takes nice pictures

Greater than one weekI go through a lot of phones so I didnt want to spend a lot of money on my next one so I ended up with this. Ended up being a lot better than expected it runs any of my day to day apps I use. The only thing I could see needing improvement is the camera but can I even complain for $150? No, with options like this there is no need to spend $1000 on a phone honestly very impressed with it. Its not blazing fast but with that comes battery life that will last me multiple days with heavy use. Great buy wont regret it
