Greater than one weekMy husband is absolutely OCD when it comes to his car. He keeps his car in pristine condition. So naturally, when we had a child and needed a car seat, he did immense research on how to protect the leather seats from getting destroyed. We found this seat guard by reading the wonderful reviews here on Amazon and we were not disappointed. Now, we have two little ones (a newborn and a two-year old toddler) and ordered a second seat guardian. We absolutely love these dear guards because, unlike most seat guards in the market, they offer full seat coverage up the back down the front of the seat. Another plus is that it folds in half, if needed. These seat guards are large enough to fit in our Escalade. We have the two car seats side by side, which overlaps the seat guards a bit. This seat protector also does a great job protecting our car upholstery from crumbs and spills. We all know toddlers love to eat in the car and well, throw food everywhere. The seat guard also helps prevent against indentations in the upholstery, or the line of dirt often causes in the upholstery where crumbs and spills leave their mark on the outside of the seat. I absolutely recommend this for all parents with childrens car seats or booster seats. An absolute for all the OCD mommies and daddies out there as well :)

> 3 dayIt does cover the LATCH hooks in the car by the littlest bit, we have 2 kids in a 4-door sedan so one behind each seat. I could get one side of the car seat hooked just fine, when I went to the other side to hook in the car seat I had a hell of a time getting the LATCHES to meet up and hook just right. The lip on the carseat cover that keeps spills in was raised just enough to screw up the alignment and make putting it in a veritable challenge. I eventually got it all in but if we had gone to a safety inspection place for installation Im sure they would tell us not to use the car seat cover. Overall, I like this product, it does what it says and it protects my car from LOs kicking dirty shoes and as time goes on I hope spills. We dont have a head rest for the top of the buckle to snap around, I just left it unfolded and kind of tucked the strap into the back of the chair, its the only way to keep the leather seats from getting trashed.

> 3 dayAfter extensively researching seat protectors online, reading reviews, and looking at several of the supposed best choices, no other product could even begin to come close to this outstanding seat protector. The quality of the material, sturdiness, and practical, well thought out design are excellent. In reviews, comments are made about the four rubber pads on the lower section leaving marks on leather seats (although apparently temporary marks that fade away over a few weeks once the protector is removed). I simply put a triple-folded cotton terry cloth towel between my cars fabric seat and the bottom portion of this seat protector. The child booster seat is cinched tightly using the safety straps/latches, and all is good! The seat protector wipes up quickly with a damp microfiber cloth.

> 3 dayThe problem with car seats and leather surfaces is due to indentations that the plastic angles of the car-seat make in leather, stretching the seat cover and sometimes even scratching the leather. Took >2 month on my leased car to get back into original shape after just a year install time, so I got worried. I first bought Diono Grip It protector, and although it is sticking to leather well and protects against the scratches, the indentations were still there. So I decided to try this protector, and wasnt disappointed: although BRICA is more expensive than DIONO, it is well worth it. First, the material is really heavy: it is a hard surface, barely bendable, and when you apply angular pressure from one side with sharp object, you dont get the indentation through (DIONO is soft surface, and the plastic presses through it). Second, it is very wide, hence all sizes of seats will fit well. Finally, the blue rubber on the bottom does provide some sliding protection, but not great. No idea if it will stick to leather or make color smudges, - will update my review if it does Note: people complain that these protectors are not safe, because with them the seat may slide sideways during crash. My experience is that you need to tighten the child seat to the actual car seats anchors with a lot of force. In this case it does not matter if these is a protector between these - it wont move. This is really why the soft protectors like DIONO, or no protectors at all, make damage to leather surfaces, but it is how the car seats must be used for safety reasons. After seeing how well this protector is made and the effect compared to DIONO, I bought another for my 2nd car. I definitely recommend this product to protect your leather seats Update (2/11/2014): I am extremely satisfied with this protector. No color bleed from blue stripes, they do provide good anti-sliding effect, and there are no indentations on leather surfaces on either of my cars. This product rocks!

> 3 dayWe purchased one for each of our cars to mostly help reduce the indentions and marks from the car seat. So far, so good. They are a bit on the pricey side but you get what you pay for. Would recommend.

> 3 dayI have an older van with cloth seats so I really don’t care about the pad making marks on my seat lol. I think kids do a lot more damage to a vehicles interior than a pad…. Anyway. I recently detailed my cozy old van and wanted to protect the cloth from wet, muddy shoes and spilled snacks being caked into the seat. It’s great! Feels very sturdy, I like that it’s crash tested, it does exactly what I need it to do. Maybe my van can stay a little nicer now for a little longer.
