My Chemical Romance: Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge [CD, Reprise 9362-48615-2]

This album still sparks the same emotions as it did when I was a teenager, its not my favorite album of theirs but it still holds its place.

Album arrived in good condition, including one CD, a jewel case, and a lyric booklet. The musical style is not for everyone—My Chemical Romance had a very specific audience when they wrote this song, and that hasn’t changed. Compared to modern music, the editing is crude and the vocals are choppy, but that is part of the charm of this specific album. It retains the raw emotional feel of the original MCR album (I Brought You My Bullets) while being slightly more refined and playable for people who aren’t die-hard fans. This record contains the hits Helena and I’m Not OK I Promise, as well as a few other little jewels like Cemetary Drive and Hang Em Hight. I only wish there was a clean version for people like me who would rather have less swearing.

Gerards droning and moaning style in this is hypnotic. After listening to this, I dyed my hair black and bought some corpse makeup so I could join the G Army. My life is now devoted to spreading the glorious sass of the Master himself. Forget the high-paying CPA job at Deloitte and Touche, I now am a clerk at Hot Topic so I can get the employee discount on everything Gerard and MCR. Yes, I had to move back into my moms trailer, but it was all worth it!

perfect condition!! it even came sealed. everything as expected, zero scratches on cd. id say looking at the other reviews this is very hit or miss, so id say just order it new rather than used, and dont spend just like 3 dollars and not expect to get what u payed for. (i payed $6) this is an absolutely beautiful album, so happy to have gotten it so cheap.

My favorite album ever. Every song is carefully done and well written with unique story-like lyrics and a fast and furious beat. Yeah, its emo/rock but oh does it remind me of being a teenager an now I get to share this with my little sister. RIP MCR. Come back to us someday...

I first saw this group on VH1 singing Im Not Okay. I was immediately impressed and after a few weeks bought the CD, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge. They appear to be selling themselves as some sort of Gothic band, which could put a lot of people off, but believe me the music is excellent once you get into it. If necessary,you may have to ignore some of the morbid lyrics. I love the lead singers voice and think they are extremely talented. I am inspired to workout to the music, jumping about like some sort of nut case on the treadmill, but its great fun. And yes, maybe I am weird just a little bit because I am a 56 year old grandma!

It plays great and the b-side is also printed which I wasn’t expecting but it’s got a picture of the band it does not come in a normal thick papering sleeve it came in a thin plastic sleeve you can see the vinyl through

cd in great condition but the case internal where it holds the cd in place was broken upon arrival. no worries tho, its gonna be in my player more than the case lol
