Good quality rubber

I got this to make a rubber bridge for a customers guitar. The muted sound afforded by a rubber bridge is real trendy now in recording circles. Anyway, this product seems OK except for one thing. Yes, it is a sheet (as pictured on Amazon.com) but it ships rolled up very tightly and refuses to lay flat even after sitting under a stack of books overnight. I need the piece that I cut out of this to be perfectly flat. Not too happy so far.

I bought this to make a custom washer for a rain barrel. Since then I have used it for all kinds of stuff. If making washers get one of the punch sets. Cutting with scissors or a razor knife works but looks ragged.

we used the mat to make a valve cover gasket for the lawnmower. As stated in the description of the product that’s what it could be used for. After letting it set up for 3 days within one hour of mowing the “gasket” did not withstand the heat and the oil was pouring out of the valve cover. Edited to say: While the product did not work for us , the customer service has been “Top Notch”! They have gone above and beyond to make us happy by refunding our purchase price and keeping in constant contact to make sure we received it and we satisfied. Their sincere apologies went a long way with us and we appreciate that!

Smells like new rubber. My desk was smelling a little too manly though, so I had to let it sit outside in the sun for a bit and then all good.
