> 24 hourTL/DR: don’t buy they refuse replace the device and support is lacking empathy and troubleshooting skills. We bought this device after doing hours and hours of research saying this is the best monitoring device to use over Wi-Fi. We have a HUGE problem where we can not hear if the baby is making any noise on my wife and my phone. The sound does not come through. The only way we get it to work is if we unplug everything and do a hard reset of the camera and then sound comes back for 1-2 more uses and then stops working. Which you can imagine trying to put your child to sleep moving his crib to unplug and replug in the camera to the outlet big problem. (I work in IT) I did what anyone in IT would do before reaching out to support. Which is finding all the online forms that had possible solutions. Trying all solutions which included reinstalled their app on both my phone and my wife’s resetting the device to factory settings. Making sure everything up to date. But issue persisted. Found their support on Nanit website went through all their troubleshooting. Wrote a novel to Nanit support of everything I already tried. Next thing their CX support team does is ask me all the same questions that I already answered. But when I let them know it’s still not working. When I asked for a new device they completely ignored me and ghosted me. The whole time their support would only respond once a day which is even more annoying as this has been happening for a month now.

> 24 hourMy husband and I loved having this for our little one to keep track of his sleep quality and times. The alerts go straight to your phone, and I was able to check in on my little guy even While at work. The two way audio was a nice feature to help soothe our son back to sleep without having to go into the room. We just wished for the price point that the tracking would be a built in feature rather than a trial period that you then have to subscribe to continue. Then it’s just an overpriced baby monitor. Too many subscriptions in this world we live in!

> 24 hourFor a baby camera that costs this much, you might expect better image quality and a better feature set than lower priced competitors. We started with a nanit pro and still use it today, but since it is not very easy to transport we bought a more mobile monitor for a trip we went on. The much cheaper mobile monitor has better image quality and comparable features. The biggest problem with the nanit is that some pretty basic features are part of the 12 months of free insights you get when you purchase the camera new. Just a simple activity log and information about when the baby woke up from their most recent sleep on a rolling daily basis should be a free feature. Our one year of free basic insights just expired, and the nanit is now nothing more than a sub-par camera. That mobile monitor I mentioned earlier with the better image quality? We still have and use that and it provides that basic information about wakeup time and noise detection as standard with no premium subscription. Overall I am super disappointed that basic functionality requires a subscription. It feels very bait and switchy to me.

> 24 hourIve been using this for 6 months The app audio/video cuts out all the time. Ive woken up in the morning and cant hear the background audio which is terrifying. The white noise it makes cuts out all the time and our baby wakes up because of it. Sometimes I dont get alerts. Sometimes I get false alerts. I could fry an egg on my phone after having the app open for a while. Video quality isnt that great. You could get a similar quality camera for $50. WiFi monitors are inherently bad for when your internet goes out. You cant really use this thing on vacation because of the firewall policies on hotel wifi networks. The cost of the camera is too much and the subscription they try to push on you pricey too. The accessories are also overpriced like the travel stand. They have literally engineered the wall mounting bracket so that its impossible to set on a table so you will end up buying the travel stand at some point. In the end, I just want to know if my baby is alive and might need assistance. Go get a cheapo camera one that doesnt run on wifi and youll be just fine.

> 24 hourwe LOVE our Nanit. The stands are easy to move around, it’s easy to use. Only 4 stars because I wish we could cast it to a google or Alexa.

> 24 hourIt keeps me well informed. The sound option is a life saver!! Quick reaction time in telling me when the baby is awake and rolling around.

> 24 hourThis baby camera was recommended to us and we love it! We’ve had it for almost 2 years and no problems. I also love that I can dissemble and take it on the go. Our favorite feature is knowing how long she’s been asleep and of course the breakdown from the previous night (see attached) I don’t like the price of the annual subscription and even after you pay for a subscription they want you to pay MORE money to get more details (see attached). That’s annoying which is why they received a 4 instead of 5.

> 24 hourI bought one camera and put it between my twins cribs. I don’t think I will need another, which is great. I ended up paying for the subscription because I needed my in laws to be able to monitor on their phones. It has been nice and reliable so far!

> 24 hourThis thing is the best ever. The picture quality is super clear, it picks up every little sound and it has a setting that keeps the sound feed on even if you are using other apps on your phone. I also bought the travel case and stand, it travels very well. It’s very easy to set up on the go and it also has a nightlight and sound machine, so you don’t have to bring those extra items with you. I have no complaints at all.

> 24 hourI was looking for a camera that could provide more detailed information about my child’s sleep status and not require any electronic devices to be worn. We have really enjoyed it to say the least
