We purchased with our son less than 2 years ago and we loved it! The only downfall is we repurchased from the same link that we did before and when we received it they do not include the swaddle anymore in the box only 1 band. Then you don’t get the travel stand with it you only yet the wall stand. I looked back at my purchase in 2020 and didn’t pay more or less than I did this time and figured it was the exact same product. I guess they changed it out and you have to purchase them separate. Thankfully we already have the “extras” from when our son used them but I raced to everyone how much you got with it and come to find out you don’t get everything no more. Other than that we have no had any Issues and we love it!

Ive been using this for 6 months The app audio/video cuts out all the time. Ive woken up in the morning and cant hear the background audio which is terrifying. The white noise it makes cuts out all the time and our baby wakes up because of it. Sometimes I dont get alerts. Sometimes I get false alerts. I could fry an egg on my phone after having the app open for a while. Video quality isnt that great. You could get a similar quality camera for $50. WiFi monitors are inherently bad for when your internet goes out. You cant really use this thing on vacation because of the firewall policies on hotel wifi networks. The cost of the camera is too much and the subscription they try to push on you pricey too. The accessories are also overpriced like the travel stand. They have literally engineered the wall mounting bracket so that its impossible to set on a table so you will end up buying the travel stand at some point. In the end, I just want to know if my baby is alive and might need assistance. Go get a cheapo camera one that doesnt run on wifi and youll be just fine.

Prior to biting the bullet and spending the $$$ for this monitor, I had tried a few other Wifi baby monitors, but was terribly unsatisfied with them. The Owlet Cam app would freeze the sound or video feed randomly and cause me to miss my baby crying (Owlet customer service told me to just restart the app, but if Im ASLEEP I cant do that!) The VTECH Wifi cam I used, I was convinced it was defective because it just wouldnt stay connected to the receiver in my 800 square foot apartment. They sent me a replacement and it had the same issue. And when that one disconnects, it beeps pretty loudly to wake you up. One night I didnt sleep at all because it just wouldnt reconnect so I went and laid in my babys room. I even got an expensive Wifi Mesh system with 4 satellites and this did not solve the connectivity issue, so that got returned as well. Anyway, now that you know the history, lets look at the Nanit. I had wanted a Nanit from the start, but its just so expensive compared to all the others! But when I went and did research and read reviews, I couldnt find one that I could guarantee would work for me. After the Owlet issue I was hesitant to use a product that didnt have a physical receiver, but I decided I would just try it, and if it didnt work then I would return it. Bottom line: I am absolutely blown away by how good this camera is! The picture quality is good even at night, the app has never once crashed or frozen, and there is a backup connection (local mode) if the Wifi ever fails (which sometimes it does say it lost connection, but I never lose my feed if Im in the house). Nanit also provides a lot more important information (IMO) than the Owlet Cam did. I dont have the Nanit subscription, but the information I get from the basic app is perfect. It shows when baby wakes up, whether baby was put to bed asleep, time to fall asleep (if they werent already asleep), how long baby was out of bed, and when significant sounds were picked up (crying, etc). The paid version gives you deeper analytics of babys sleep habits, if you want that. The app does allow background sound so you can listen with the screen locked or while using another app, which is very helpful! I will say that my husband and I pretty quickly disabled motion and sound notifications on our phones because they were very spammy and not that useful for us. I cannot review the breathing band, since my baby was too big for the one that came with it, and now that hes older I dont worry that hes going to stop breathing every night. Im sure it works great, considering how great it works in general.

Great baby monitor for first time parents. The breathing band gets a little too warm to wear on hot days when you dont have AC. Also, they could have a separate monitor, I would buy it in a heartbeat instead of using up my phone battery, but the camera is so good for my peace of mind that Ill gladly trade my battery for that.

I can’t say that I’ve used all the bells and whistles this monitor comes with, but we have really enjoyed it in general. Even without the subscription, they send age related tips to help improve sleep routines. When my son goes into his own room I’m sure we’ll use the sleep band to track his breathing and waking patterns, but we cosleep at night so I know when he’s awake or not for now lol the video quality is really good and the nightlight comes in handy! It’s easy to travel with (with the travel stand) and I got a tripod so it’s even better when we’re away from home. I like that it’s on my phone and not a separate monitor. It’s really nice overall! As a first time parent it really give us peace of mind when he’s napping and we’re downstairs doing things.

I am so happy someone told me about this product! As I was having trouble sleeping with my last baby and knew I would again with this baby as I was scared of them having low oxygen but this has helped so much!

It breeds some comfort to have eyes in your kiddo where ever you are while he sleeps. Check his sleeping habits with the app, when he was last attended, all that. I cant think of any features to add except making the breathing check belt easier to set up

Meet the Nanit Pro Camera, the most awarded, connected baby monitor and app on the market. With your wide-angle smart monitor firmly mounted to the wall, you can rest easy knowing it sees nearly everything in and around the crib.
