> 24 hourWe had originally purchased the Miku monitor because I wasn’t thrilled about Nanit’s added cost of wearables but after we weren’t able to even get Miku to connect and then NICU doctor recommended Nanit, we finally purchased. We’ve been super happy with the performance. Our son had 2 episodes where he momentarily stopped breathing after coming home (reason for being in the NICU as a preemie) and Nanit caught both episodes. It’s definitely expensive to continue sizing up in the wearables but we’re now addicted to the peace of mind of knowing his breaths per minute. We absolutely recommend if you’re looking for a smart monitor and/or you’ve had a baby in intensive care.

> 24 hourFor a baby camera that costs this much, you might expect better image quality and a better feature set than lower priced competitors. We started with a nanit pro and still use it today, but since it is not very easy to transport we bought a more mobile monitor for a trip we went on. The much cheaper mobile monitor has better image quality and comparable features. The biggest problem with the nanit is that some pretty basic features are part of the 12 months of free insights you get when you purchase the camera new. Just a simple activity log and information about when the baby woke up from their most recent sleep on a rolling daily basis should be a free feature. Our one year of free basic insights just expired, and the nanit is now nothing more than a sub-par camera. That mobile monitor I mentioned earlier with the better image quality? We still have and use that and it provides that basic information about wakeup time and noise detection as standard with no premium subscription. Overall I am super disappointed that basic functionality requires a subscription. It feels very bait and switchy to me.

> 24 hourOur 3 weeks baby sleeps in a different room. After buying the nanit camera we did not have to be in the baby room to check if the baby is breathing.

> 24 hourThis is a great monitoring system! Love that it tracks how long baby sleeps. Great picture & video quality. Although on the pricier side for a monitor, well worth it!

> 24 hourI can’t say that I’ve used all the bells and whistles this monitor comes with, but we have really enjoyed it in general. Even without the subscription, they send age related tips to help improve sleep routines. When my son goes into his own room I’m sure we’ll use the sleep band to track his breathing and waking patterns, but we cosleep at night so I know when he’s awake or not for now lol the video quality is really good and the nightlight comes in handy! It’s easy to travel with (with the travel stand) and I got a tripod so it’s even better when we’re away from home. I like that it’s on my phone and not a separate monitor. It’s really nice overall! As a first time parent it really give us peace of mind when he’s napping and we’re downstairs doing things.

> 24 hourFor the amount of money you spend on this camera, it is overrated and expensive. I would recommend a stand alone unit that doesnt depend on internet connectivity. Pros: Picture quality is really good. Sound features and sleep tracking features are good. The ability to watch on multiple devices is nice. The new IPad update features a dual picture/side picture so you can use your tablet and monitor the baby. Cons: The camera is expensive for No wifi, no camera. If you want a base to travel with the camera you will need to spend another $50 and lose a lot of the features. The travel base also does not secure the camera as well as the wall mount. Security: Some users have posed questions and had issues with the security of the camera since it is strictly a WiFi camera. I have not had issues with this but there are reports of it happening. App: The app works okay but constantly loses connection to the camera. You will also need an android/google play supported tablet or IPad. The Amazon Fire tablet is not supported.

> 24 hourMy wife and I love our Nanits! We have 2 and love the split screen functionality. Picture quality is awesome! If I had one thing I’d change, it’d just be the lag time of the feed. It’s about 1-2 seconds behind real time.

> 24 hourI’m a 2 time Nanit owner with 2 babies only a year apart (one still cooking) here is the good and the bad about Nanit (bare with me, as I’m passionate about this)…. Overall peace of mind… indisputably. The camera serves its purpose and allowed me to sleep at night knowing my son was breathing and all was well. Alerted me if he moved or rolled over and even when he cries. They even give great insights about the babies sleep patterns and habits and give tips. Such a good Camera that I circled back bought another one from my incoming baby. Why the 3 stars you ask? For the price point of $300, after 1 year you lose the ability to monitor breathing and the insights that come with the camera. A subscription plan for the insights I understand, they are great, not $200 great…. But to charge for the breathing monitoring when that’s the reason we pay $300 for the Nanit over a cheaper Amazon one is insane. It’s honestly a waste of money at that point to do the subscription, you might as well do what I did and buy another camera with the free subscription because that’s what it cost. Nanit needs to reevaluate its subscription and stop robbing costumers. Breathing monitoring should be standard, that’s what we paid for. The insights and video history is understandable to charge for… just not at an annual price of $200. They get you to buy the camera and all the accessories for breathing monitoring just to charge an insane annual fee to use it. If you are tight on money, Save you some money and get standard camera, if you are good on money just buy another camera..

> 24 hourWe love the Nanit cam and the breathing wear, it give me so much peace of mind knowing that it will alarm me if baby stops breathing.
