> 3 daythis unit just fit the bill. I purchased this for an outdoor wedding and even though it was rained out , I was able to test it and it was just what the doctor ordered, literally. I am a cancer patient and this was a concern if I was to be setting for any length of time in the sun and or heat of the day. It was perfect.

> 3 dayThe fan works good; you can feel it on the sides and back of your head. On low setting the noise isn’t that noticeable. From a distance it looks like you have headphones around your neck.

Greater than one weekI like how this device is just for me. I can be out working in the yard and not have to worry about wishing for a breeze. This things moves some serious air. It actually blows my hair around since my hair is short. I like that it is rechargeable so I dont have to keep buying batteries.

> 3 dayCame fully charged! I love it! Light weight, cold, doesnt get in my hair, quiet, cheap, long running time. Even the dog likes it. I live in FL & have 15 years of hot flashes.

> 3 dayI honestly thought this KIDEE Neck Fan was going to be just another gimmicky item. But I also thought for the price Id give it a go since I will try anything to help keep me cool. I have MS and getting too overheated means feeling like youve just come off a 3-day long bender and it can take a while to recover. I do not have central air. My AC is not yet installed since at this time of year it is usually only in the 60s and doesnt usually get too hot until the end of June or beginning of July. Mother Nature is having some fun with me. It was 90 degrees outside, with a lot of humidity in the air. I decided rather than cooking inside for the family, Id go outside and grill some burgers and potatoes. Yep, I was hot. I was starting to feel like crap and had an attitude to match it. Then I remembered the neck fan that I left on the charger. I truly wasnt expecting much. Wow was I wrong. The fan gives a nice breeze on low. It runs fairly quiet. I can hear everything over it. Then I kicked it up to medium. Quite a bit of a breeze. Louder, but I can still hear most things. Kicked it up to high. A lot of breeze and it really works! I did cool down quite a bit. The sound is in no way loud enough to hurt my ears, but I cant hear most things on high. Im thinking of wearing this a lot, and on high speed, when the teens are home. Hot or not. Just to tune out all the noise. This is like pure bliss...lol I gave it to my kids to try and they both had no problems hearing even on high speed. Obviously, the difference between old and young ears. Im not sure how long the charge lasts, but I can say I had this on high for at least an hour when I was cooking and have used it on low a few times after that for short periods and it still going. So glad I did not buy the hand fan.

> 3 dayI like it in theory, but it does not work for me. I am 48 and petite so it does not sit where I would need it to. Returning.

> 3 dayI actually purchased 2 of these. I bought 1 for my husband and I for our Vegas trip. Also my son bought me 1 For Mother’s Day. They work great ONLY on the inside of an already cool/cold home or building. It does NOT work at all outdoors when it’s hot, AT ALL.

> 3 dayCome warm weather, I do a lot of vegetable and flower gardening. Sometimes the day is sweltering hot and I have tried the cooling cloths, hats, and portable mister fans in an attempt to stay cool. The cloths dont stay cool enough, the hat makes me cranky because it blocks my vision, and the mister fans are of no use unless you hold them in place. I need both hands to garden so the mister fan is a bust because of that. I wanted to try this neck fan primarily because it works hands free so I can move about while gardening. I can say that this neck fan works better than all three of my previous attempts at staying cool in 90 degree temperatures with high humidity. It has three settings so I can decide how much air I want to blow on my face and neck. Its not heavy and it doesnt bother me while wearing it. I plug it in at the end of the day, and its charged and ready to go the next morning. It lasts 2-3 days of gardening for me and that averages out to approximately 10-14 hours total. I have very long hair and even if I pull it back away from my face some strands always manage to come loose. I have had no issues with the fan wanting to pull my hair into its inner housing. The noise level took me a bit to get used to. Its not loud but it is a new noise near my ears. Im still able to hear sounds above it, including my cell phone, radios and neighbors voices. Now that Im used to it, I dont even notice the noise. Ill be using this neck fan primarily for gardening and outdoor work but I can imagine it could help those having hot flashes, fevers, and even while doing hot housework such as laundry or cooking. This gets high marks from me for its quality build, adaptable uses, and affordability.
