    Greater than one week

First off, the double Necoichi bowl does not come in extra large. My cats are15 pounds each and my Ragdoll. Is a long cat. The reviews on the single bowl have been fantastic and it seems most cats love it. I bought the new double bowl thinking both cats wouldn’t have to fight over it. Neither one has tried to even set a foot on it. I have put it in different locations, next to windows, next to furniture. They will not try it out. I thought of picking the cats up and setting them on it, but my experience is doing this doesn’t work, even with beds. They hop right out. I am very disappointed because this was a fairly expensive purchase and it sits in a corner next to our bedroom window as an unused piece of cat furniture. My suggestion for these cat bed companies is to consider larger cats and offer larger pieces of furniture and bedding. It was difficult rating this because they haven’t tried it out. I will say it was easily assembled and seems prey sturdy. Waste of money for me. I am writing an update to give the Necoichi bowl 4 stars After discovering that Simon would go in the bottom level after I added some dry catnip flakes. He has slept in I three times now but prefers sleeping on the floor next to it. My main concern is that it is not large enough for large breed cats like Ragdolls and Maine Coons. He does not like the top level.

As soon as I took this out of the box, Hayden was all over it scratching and then plopped inside and took a nap. My other cat, Hendricks tried to overthrow the king in his bowl, but to no avail. Now they share it off an on. Great purchase. BTW my cats are ragdoll youngsters (about 1 year old) and about 13 pounds and barely fit, but love to sit in it anyway with furry skin spilling over the top. I am not sure what will happen in two years but right now it looks like a large cupcake with frosting overflowing when either one curls up in it to sleep. I wish they had a bigger size in this shape and style. Only 4 stars because it is all cardboard (although the frame does look like wood it is not) and is expensive for cardboard.

I was excited to get this and only had it almost a week when my cat puked on it. It was ruined. Its not made of wood so it got wet and the cardboard just fell apart.. an expensive item that had to be tossed in the trash. Very sad and it was not a cheap purchase.

My cat loves it, but she uses it to chill out... soooo I need to buy another scratcher.

Product description isnt quite true; the frame is NOT wood. The frame appears to be wood in the photo but is actually heavy cardboard with slick woodgrain vinyl/paper around it. This is a bit expensive to buy the frame and the scratcher insert. I like the product due to the insert being replaceable. Others I have purchased there was no replacement and none manufactured the right size for the frame. At least I will be able to turn over the scratcher part and get more use from the product. And there are replacements that can be purchased, also a bit expensive for 2. The size for each of the scratchers, regular and large need to be clearly stated.

Sturdy and seems comfortable for cat use to scratch and lounge or sleep. My cat loves this and uses this daily. Regular size fits perfectly. Definitely would recommend this.

There are some things that are really great about this - the fact that you can replace the interior bowl insert is the best. I was a little disappointed that the exterior wasnt more attractive and a bit sturdier. After reading the description more carefully, I can see that it doesnt say it has a wood veneer exterior, but I had thought that it did have a bamboo veneer. Instead its just a fake wood pattern pasted onto a thick cardboard, and the edge is all dinged and scuffed, and it looks much cheaper and fake than in the pictures. I was happy to pay 30-ish$ for a permanent wooden bowl with replaceable inserts, but less so to pay so much for something much more easily damaged and more likely to require replacement itself. Im saving it for a christmas present, so I havent given it to my fellow yet, but Im sure it wont matter to him, hell love it anyway!

This is the type of lounger / bed that I believe every cat owner is looking for - my cat is rather picky, but loves bowl type beds and relaxers and this one is just the best ever! She sleeps and sits in it a lot. It is perfect size - she is 9-10 pounds, but my boy cat (past away last year) would fit great in here and he was 16 pounds - he liked tight fits though too - might be pushing it for some cats that size. I would buy one for each of my cats because I know they would all be in one at all times - I happen to just have my one cat now and love pleasing her with a comfy spot!

Michi the Spoiled gives it five paws…or two paws up…or whatever the cat version of approval is.
