19-11-2024Got this as a Christmas present for someone. Looks great on the display and the functions are actually pretty cool. The giftee absolutely adores it. I could not be happier.

> 3 dayThis nerf gun is amazing! From the build quality to actually firing it, it hits all the marks, no pun intended. Im slightly dissapointed by the in game content, and the fact that it doesnt make any Needler sounds, but who cares now that you have a full size Needler irl. If youre hesitant about getting it, dont be. Its well worth the money. Im hoping they do more halo weapons like this in the future.

> 3 dayThis needler is everything 10 year old me wanted (minus the pink explosion) in a Needler. The battery powered nerf gun glows tremendously and will be perfect for cosplay down the road. The infrared/heat sensor to turn on the lights in the gummy pink needles is super satisfying. Ultimately, this purchase 100% falls in the category of irresponsible, but I have zero regrets. And neither does 10yr old me.

> 3 dayIll just second what so many others are saying: Nerf has outdone themselves with this Needler. They probably didnt need to pay so much attention to detail and proportion for this, but they did and damn if they didnt just nail it. Size, weight, detailing.. its about as ideal and tru to my imagination as I could have hoped. Nice job, Nerf.

> 3 dayIf there were two cornerstones of my life growing up, it was Nerf blasters and Halo. One of my longtime childhood fantasies was a Nerf Needler. Of all the crazy sci-fi weapons we wished we could have as a foam firing toys, the infamous bringer of pink mist was my pick. Ultimately it never happened during that time (BOOM Cos Needler was fun, but definitely didnt nail the looks), and eventually I grew out of the hobby scene in general. Yet, when I found out Hasbro was going to make a game-accurate, functioning replica of the Needler, I was chomping at the bit to get it. I think they knocked it out of the park. The blaster itself looks fantastic. Its almost identical in appearance to the Needler from Halo: Reach through Infinite. Almost all of the fine details are visible. The blaster itself is weighty and feels very sturdy. Whats nice is that all the protruding elements of the gun, like the fins on the bottom and the needles themselves are made of a flexible material so they wont break if you bump into them or drop the blaster. The lighting effects are also great looking. The LEDs are bright and the blaster has a neat feature of sequentially turning off the needles as you fire off darts, mimicking the games behavior. You reload the needles by flipping open and shut the cylinder door on the left side of the blaster. It also shoots surprisingly well, better than Id expect for a blaster that seemingly values looks over performance. Its a fully automatic electric plunger with a 10-dart cylinder, similar to the old Dart Tag Speedswarm. This was a pleasant surprise considering most new Nerf blasters have totally ditched this type of firing mechanism for flywheels. Im not going to bother range testing it, but it fires hard and darts fly out to ranges that Id expect of most new Elite type blasters. It isnt the most consistent or accurate though, but thats to be expected of a blaster firing Elite darts out of barrels this short. Heavier darts and Id say you can stay on target pretty well with this thing. I do have some minor gripes though. Even though the colors are dead on, I wish they gave the gun a more metallic sheen like it has in game. Its also an ergonomic nightmare. The grip is horrid and its a pain to reload thanks to the giant muzzle that covers most of the cylinder. That said, its worth noting that this blaster basically eschews all practically in favor of being as accurate to the game model as realistically possible. Its not something youre going to want to play a round of HvZ with (or whatever people play these days). Its also a bit expensive, but I guess if you really want this thing then the price shouldnt be too big of an issue. Overall Im really happy with this Needler. Its definitely a childhood dream come true and Im glad its as good as it is.

> 3 dayVery happy with my purchase. This was a “like new”item that arrived in the original box. No issues whatsoever as all the items are intact, and it looked as good as new.
