Wasnt sure exactly what this was supposed to do, but I bought it for the Amiibo cards I ordered which go along with Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer. Simple to use.

Bought this to use with my 3DS which did not have this capability in the software when I bought it. I have bought two amiibos and am currently using one. Everything works great. I am very happy with my purchase.

Works as intended and arrived as it should have. My niece loves it, she can use Amiibo on her Nintendo 3ds now.

For pre- near field communication devices like older 3ds. Must have for amiibos to work

To be honest I didnt even know that my medieval 3DS didnt come with a NFC reader so imagine my surprise when I was trying to play New Leaf with the Hello Kitty cards. This thing is a life saver. Yes it uses batteries, but it works seamlessly with the older 3DS.

Does exactly what I needed it to and it got to me so fast.

There were a lot of questions about compatibility I had to do a lot of googling about before pulling the trigger. If someone had taken the more common questions and added the answers to the description this would have been a no-brainer. If you plan on keep your older xDS hardware around and use amiibos then you need this. Luckily the NEW 3DSes and the soon to be released NEW 2DS have this function built in.
