UV filters are one of those contentious items to buy for your lens. After really thinking about it, purchasing a decent UV filter to protect my $1500 lens to protect the element is definitely worth the investment. Ive gone with and without a filter during my time as a prosumer photographer, and if youre processing your photos, I feel you can make up for the slight softness a UV filter may give, even if its psychological. But at the end of the day, I definitely want to protect my lens from any scratches, so its worthwhile.

I have several NiSi ND filters plus their true colour CPL. NiSi is quality.... I have used others and I find their construction and glass is second to none! I will use a UV when at the dog park and down around the seashore as I dont want stuff on the front elements of my NIKON lenses. You cant go wrong! Plus a nice knurled grip so the are super easy to remove and install...

This is a much nicer UV filter than the one Ive been using from the starter kit I had. The fit and finish is well done. It threads easily into my Canon 24mm lens with no binding, and the deep knurling on the rim makes it easy to remove. If you are just starting out and want a UV filter, skip the ones in the cheap starter kits and get this one instead. Overall, this is a great quality filter at a budget price.

This is not my first Nisi product and it does not disappoint. it is thinner then my other 77mm UV filter from another manufacture. there is no vignetting, though I would not expect it on a telephoto anyway (what I tested on) and no color cast.

Wow! just Wow! Ive never seen a filter so clear, I was totally convinced there was no glass in it until I tilted it to reflect the light, It is much smaller than my 55mm lens so I did need to use a step down adapter but the filter works great, completely undetectable. I did struggle to get it off adapter the threading is a little tight.

For this review, it is important to state that I am not a professional photographer. I got this filter to help protect my lenses from scratches, the elements, etc. This filter fit on my Canon EF lenses with no issues whatsoever. And, this filter did not interfere with the dust cover. I took several before and after pictures and so no differences in the image quality from my perspective.

With most lenses a general UV filter isnt needed, but I still like to use them to help protect the outer layers of the lens. This NiSi 62mm UHC UV Protection Filter is a perfect fit on my Pentax DA 18-135 WR. Ive used it for a few shots and I dont see any issues with color or distortion. So far Im liking this filter. The threads seem well made and there isnt a problem getting it on or off, yet when tightened it doesnt creep off either. A good value and well made product.

I’ve been very happy with this NiSi filter. I’ve been using it on a Sigma 105mm lens and it’s doing its job by keeping the front element protected without any reduction in image quality. Reflections don’t seem to be an issue either.
