> 3 dayMade a huge difference in noise levels, the stock fan had a loud noisy sound with the case on (much improved with the case off), but putting the Noctua with the included voltage limited pretty much solved that. Its as quiet as the idling Mac mini next to the NVR and I dont have to hide the NVR now.

> 3 dayI needed to replace the 30mm fan that was on my V6 style 3D printer hot end. What I had on there at the time would screech when I first turned the printer on. The screech would settle down in a few seconds, but the hum from the fan was still overly loud. I saw that this fan was highly recommended for 3D printers, but I didnt notice that it was a 40mm fan. I had to print an adapter to get it to fit, and I had to cut off the connector mid-wire in order to install it on my custom/modular hot end. The fan comes with some great looking extras that should fit most applications, but I guess I just wanted something a bit sleeker. There is a little module that you can add on that will make the fan quieter by slowing down the blades. I didnt attach it, and see no need to attach it as the fan is already so quiet, but I believe that it works with other Noctua fans and probably other brands so there is no reason to throw it away.

> 3 dayI used this as a upgrad on my duplicator i3 plus when I hit a fan with my screw driver and they work great they are 2 prong normally but come with a 3 prong adapter which I used for my 3D printer. They are super quiet and much more powerful.

> 3 dayAlthough this was more than I intended to spend, I thought I would try one to replace a noisy fan in a varilight in my small home studio that was slowly driving me crazy. It came beautifully packaged with a variety of adapters and easy to install rubber shock mounts, was up and running in a few minutes, and is almost completely silent.

Greater than one weekGreat little fan, it most a lot of air. However it is louder then its larger counterpart. I would use it again in a Mini-ITX build.
