When my old fan died I couldnt find a replacement, best buy was sold out (I was in a pinch, dont judge me), so I looked online for a prime shipment. I gave this a shot and havent regretted it. I have to check it every once in awhile to make sure it actually is running. The thing is so quiet! Im going to replace all my fans with this brand.

Really moves the air and is quiet as a feather. I have bought two more for a new computer build for my wife.

Im using this as a bedside fan with the pwm knob controller. I want to be able to still hear things going on outside and its quiet enough for that. If you crank it up full RPM, you can hear it a bit as a white noise but its still a lot quieter than any 3 speed fan Ive been able to find. Below maybe 70%, you pretty much cant hear it. My main problem is that its kind of ugly to sit on a nightstand.

They are Noctuas. If you are looking at these fans, then you already know that Noctuas are pretty much the best PC fans money can buy. They are well known for their build quality, quiet operation, and poor aesthetics. I personally like how they look. They are unique in their own way.

This fan works great and is very silent, at least by my standards. I used it to replace a failing fan in an old Netgear NAS device.

I found the rubber vibration reducing pins to be extremely difficult to install, even with pliers. And in my experience, the vibration and noise depend a lot more on the sturdiness and surface shapes of your case than on the mounting solutions on the fan itself. After installing this next to a cheaper Antec fan, and running them at max power, the Noctua was barely better. Is it better? Yes. It is worth the price? For me, no. It also makes the same amount of noise as my fan that has no rubber shock absorbers and is installed only with metal screws. However, I will say that the thing I appreciate on the Noctua is the long, insulated/covered wiring. It simplified making the appropriate power connections and cord management adjustments.

Ive been having moments where the Cooler Master fans in my case were making some more noise than usual at times, and it concerned me that they needed replacement.Plus, those fans were a pain in the neck to have to install in the first place, having to carefully screw them in in steps to ensure the screws didnt strip while making a path for them to install into the fans plastic and into the case to hold them securely. The screw metals were cheap.
