> 3 dayIts a decent cooler, but idle temperature has been acting up weird oftentimes on my 3700x. 45-50c sometimes, but I guess its just how ryzen 3000 is in general. I went with water cooling for my built and lower temperature.

> 3 dayAfter 3 years of hard work my Thermaltake 360mm CLCs pump gave out. Im very much invested in the Noctua ecosystem with my fans so Im use to the aesthetics. That said, I decided to give their air cooler a shot. I am extremely impressed with the performance. The NH-D15 is considered the best performing air cooler and it lives up to that billing. My setup includes an Intel i7 5820K and its 140W TDP, running a modest overclock of 4.2 GHz with a core voltage of 1.255. The average temp under load is 68C and on idle it is 40C.

> 3 dayFirst of all this is huge so make sure you have a proper sized case for it. It’s definitely pretty cool and Noctua always delivers on its cooling capabilities and isn’t as loud as you would think these can run a pretty high dollar but are comparable to water cooling and will keep your CPU cool under pretty heavy gaming it is worth the money if you are worried of water coolers leaking onto your components one day (though that’s not too likely)

> 3 dayAmazing! Temps dropped from right about 99-100 Degrees C whilst I was using a 212 Evo, to around 84-86 Degrees C. Running a 6700k @4.6GHz at 1.315 volts. No throttling. Ultra silent.
