Noctua NH-U12A chromax.Black, 120mm Single-Tower CPU Cooler (Black)

Dropped my i7-12700 CPU temps by 10C at idle and 15-20 C under heavy benchmark loading. Great quality and fans run quietly.

It doesnt look as good an AIO in my opinion but still the chromax black edition doesnt look that bad compared to the brown original version.

Quiet, cool(about 65C°) overall and 75° hot core... with all cores at 4,500mhz. My old cooler was also a dual fan, but only 5 heat pipes and had to ramp up to 2100rpm(max) to keep same level of cooling as this NH-U12A, at about 1700rpm, and the fans are also a quieter design, with 7 heat pipes. Glad I bought it to make the computer quieter during gaming, without headset.

Lets get the elephant in the room out of the way - this thing is _expensive_. If you are looking for a budget air cooler, look elsewhere. But if you prefer the reliability of air cooling and want the best cooler available, this is it.

This out preforms my NZXT Kraken. Really quiet and no water inside my computer.

It does keep my Ryzen 7 5800x cool even under heavy loads. Max temps have only reached up to 70 C and that is without undervolting.

Performance on par with a 240 AIO but way quieter, and super simple installation on AM4 considering most AIO use the same pump and installation which can be annoying. Though you can buy an addon to not make it so bad. This however, is just plug and play. Solid black brings the system uniformity and with the chromax customization can tkae it even further. Highly recommended if you want a highly compatible Tower Cooler without it being so massive.

This is my second Noctua CPU cooler. Then first one being a low profile model for a smaller (thinner) case. It is easy to install. Just make sure to check MOBO and CPU compatibility on Noctua’s web site, as well as specs height (so it fits in your case). Then just follow the instructions that come with it for your type of CPU socket (Intel or AMD) and you should be fine. With this model you can install 1 or both fans (depending on your needs).
