Noctua NH-U12S chromax.Black, 120mm Single-Tower CPU Cooler (Black)

This is an excellent cooler that works well and provides good clearance for getting to the RAM on an AMD motherboard. We had an installation issue with an AMD AM4 socket that another reviewer noted. If you use the gray standoffs as stated in the instructions, you cannot get the threaded barrels started on the threaded posts. We contacted Noctua and they just said to use a bigger screwdriver. With the white standoffs, the installation went smoothly. There is only a 1 mm difference in length between the taller white standoffs and the gray standoffs. The spring-loaded barrels have at least 3 mm or 4 mm play, so the extra 1 mm for the standoff does not make a difference. Noctua needs to fix their instruction sheet.

had it installed on both amd and intel systems installation is very easy and straightforward for both of you follow the instructions. thermals were better than other coolers i’ve tried. you can also upgrade it by adding another fan to the back which is great!

La version chromax est superbe dun point de vue esthétique, et lefficacité est également au RDV : je constate 20 à 30° de différence avec le ventirad stock dAMD (Stealth).

I bought this CPU cooling system from the recommendation of several different YouTubers and Im glad I did. I was looking for a good cooling unit that can handle an i9 processor overclocked and come to find out this was rated as one of the top ones that could handle it. Very easy to install and the directions are very clear. Definitely worth the money

Noctua deserves all the praise it gets. This fan is insanely quiet.

Not much better than the 212 evo, only purchased because I always wanted one before but couldnt stand the brown. The install, sound, temp and fit was better than the 212 evo. Not sure if its worth double the price unless you need the temp headroom for overclocking.

I was looking for a replacement to the AMD stock cooler, which in itself is fine but I wanted something quieter and more effective when gaming. Having heard about Noctuas excellent reputation I decided to pull the trigger on a Chromax u12S.

Its quieter than my Corsair H100i for sure, now I wont be bothered by the fan noise.

And that someone loves it. He says performs much better than others he owned and much quieter than those other ones.
