> 3 dayI was using the stock Wraith Prism that came with my Ryzen 7 3700x which had a horrible buzzing sound and loud fan noise. After misdiagnosing the problem as coming from the case fans and isolating the issue to the cooler, I did some research on Noctuas easy to navigate website to find a suitable replacement. I settled on this one because of the price, small size, and AM4 support. The box comes with everything you need to install the cooler and instructions for 3 different sockets. The fan runs quiet and effectively and the cooler was easy to install. Highly recommend.

> 3 dayToo good, bought it with extra fan on other side, now I have to overclock my old i5-2500k cpu. My temps used to be 35C idle and since I got my 980ti they started creeping toward 80C when playing heavy duty games. After this bad boy was installed they went to ~26C idle and never go past 40C when stressed. Incredible build quality, very quiet, so good it makes me start to like this fugly color.

23-11-2024Easy to install, quiet and effective. I also know Noctua will supply mounting kits for future CPU designs (as long as the base plate is still compatible). Hopefully this cooler will last for many years.
