I had a temperamental 4 year old Z97 based i7 4790K with a Titan Fenrir cooler which would lockup / crash under hard gaming ( BF1 Ultra settings @ 1440p ) So I decided to fix it .I chose the best Noctua product ( NH-U12S ) that would fit my case ( CM storm ) and in under 30 mins I had the new cooler and fan installed , and Wow !!. My PC is transformed , no more crashes or lockups , its cooler and quieter under load . BF1 now runs in Ultra , 1440p @ 90 - 110 fps totally stable .

Top notch build quality. Worth the money

This fancooler CPU is very efficient and also has a great advantage: it is SUPER QUIET!!. Other pro for this device is that it is very easy to install, even for people with little knowledge rookies. The instructions are clear and no room for doubt. No heavy, its size is not excessive and therefore does not interfere with memory modules.

Good upgrade for my barely mid-range rig

I originally had installed an EVGA CLC240 AIO liquid cooler on my new build but it was loud and I wasnt impressed with the temps, I was also worried about leaking ruining my $1,500 computer. Then I ordered a Noctua u14s, only to find out it wouldnt fit in my case by 2mm! So finally, I ordered this Noctua u12s. Fit perfectly, installation was simple and quick, and the temps Im getting are great. Keep in mind its summer and pretty warm in my room, but I have a nice stable 5.0GHz Adaptive OC on my 8700k @ 1.25v. Idle temps get as low as 25C when not using my computer. When just browsing the internet and watching videos, they stay around 34-35C. When gaming my CPU stays around 68C-70C. And torture tests (100% Load small FFT) bring it up to around 78C-81C. Honestly, its perfect. Just make sure you have good airflow in your case. I have 2x 120s pulling air in from the front, and a 140 exhaust on the top, and a 120 exhaust at the rear.
