Noctua NH-U12S, Premium CPU Cooler with NF-F12 120mm Fan (Brown)

I did not give this unit 5 stars only because I dislike installing items like this on my computer (because of the work involved). My computer is located where it is not easy to access the items inside of it. However, this does not mean that the product itself is responsible for this problem, I am. The product came with all of the items that were necessary to install it on my AMD motherboard. Once I got all the mounting hardware installed, on my motherboard, the cooling unit was easily installed. I like the easy way that the fan mounts to the cooling fins as this makes it easy to remove and reinstall when checking for dust blockages on the cooling fins. I had to remove my previous cooling unit because of temperature problems and then I was then able to see that this was caused by dust blockages. However, I had to remove the unit to see this problem. Unlike this unit, cleaning my previous (liquid) cooling unit was difficult. In addition, a liquid cooling unit always has the possibility of pump failure, which can not be easily diagnosed. This new unit is working fine and keeping my CPU cool. If I need more cooling, I can easily add another fan to this unit.

I had no idea that my other CPU fan was so loud until I put this thing on it. Oh, I have to mention, I also had no idea that my previous CPU fan was inadequate to cool my CPU. This thing runs about half of my other fan, is quieter and cools better. im impressed!

Amazing cooler. Love it. So silent. built solidly. Noctua never seems to disappoint with their quality products. This is my 5th noctua for different systems I built over the years. They were all work horses and quiet.

Noctua è la migliore in quanto a dissipatori e si vede subito. Confezione, contenuto, istruzioni e qualità generale altissima. Costa un po più di altri ma un motivo cè: Questi dissipatori si possono portare avanti per anni, e se si cambia cpu con un altro socket basta scrivere a noctua che, se previsto sul modello, ti invia gratuitamente le nuove staffe per non dover cambiare dissipatore.

Great heatsink and fan combo. Solid Design. Reduced my CPU temps from the stock intel heatsink and fan by 20 degrees celsius. It is also very quiet. Highly recommended.

I read lots of rave reviews on Noctua and now I see why. This has been my coolest CPU temp and quietest build yet. I went with one CPU fan since I read that having 2 fans didnt do that much more. (It comes with extra clips if you decide to get a second fan.) I have the Intel i7-4790K, 2 case fans in front, 1 in back, 1 on top, and CPU temp averages 27 C at idle. Bumps up to the high 30s under heavy load. All the parts are top-notch quality, even the packaging. It comes with separate parts and instructions for AMD or Intel. Instructions were easy to follow. Came with thermal compound, the good stuff too. Would have liked a different color scheme than Tatooine (doesnt match anything else I have in there), but functionality is what counts.
