With any sound deadening such as this, you will definitely need a small wooden roller to properly press this into the metal. You know you did well once the embossed pattern has flattened out. Those reviews complaining about this were simply trying to use their hands alone. This product is as good as more expensive brands such as Dynamat. It adheres very well, is just the right thickness, and will deaden the sound of road noise and door/panel rattles. If youve never used this tye of product, please do yourself a favor and watch a couple GOOD videos on installing. I used about half a box to do the four doors of a 2001 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab. It cuts very easily with scissors. TIP: when doing the doors, the safety bar inside each door will have caulking between it and the outer door skin. Usually the caulk will be dried out from age and not adhering both parts. Do yourself a favor and add some caulk between the bar and the outer door skin. Doesnt have to be the entire bar since thatll be had to do. Doing this along with the sound deadener will make your doors close with the solid thump like nicer expensive cars do!

Al little over half way through installation on my 2016 GT with a Borla ATAK Exhaust. Fully did the trunk - and the results - pretty good! The only reason I gave it 4 stars out of 5 is that although good - I wouldnt want to set expectations to high. My wife was not fully appreciative of the nice rumble - and to be honest - it was difficult to hold a conversation while accelerating. It has gone from intolerable to tolerable (not great). Well see what happens after I finish the back seat. I also thought that there was a noticeable drop in road noise. The material cuts well with an industrial grade scissors or a razor blade. The most difficult part was taking apart the car/trunk to allow easy access to surfaces. It is pretty sticky - so although you can pull it up - and rework - youd better do it quick and only once.

Arrived on time and well packaged. Installed as a sound deadening layer on an RV floor and engine cover. Easy to work with and insall. Quieted the engine noise significantly.

It covered a lot of square feet. I found it easier to cut out the shape I wanted, then peal away a piece of the backing. I then pressed the exposed tar to the part I wanted to cover and then pealed the rest of the backing off as I pressed down. I then used the recommended roller. On my old VW it’s made a big difference. The doors feel more solid, and the roof won’t sound like a tin roof in the rain. It’s thin enough that the cloth sound deadener and carpet will not bunch up. This was a good investment to me.

Makes a huge difference in sound. Used it with a layer of foam over it. I can barely hear my crappy mud terrain tires now. Needs to be done on a warm day, lay it out with the paper side up to warm up. Makes working it into contours much easier.

Product has no smell and is very easy to work with cuts with scissors or blade whatever is your preference. Does a great job reducing the noise in the van on its own.
