I use it as a mouse pad, for my hair straightener and for my hot tea as well so its nice to have space, although I wish I had opted for the larger one for more space as I liked it more than I thought I would. My desk is a dark wood brown so this doesnt disturb the elegance of it, just makes it look more professional actually. Definitely a good buy.
