> 3 dayPC version works ok, but the mobile apps constantly crash or freeze up. The autoreconnect feature doesnt work at all. You will find yourself having to manually disconnect and reconnect multiple times every hour. Worst of all, I bought it from the companys website, and they are refusing to cancel and refund the subscription after only 1 week. Avoid this one. You will thank yourself later.

> 3 dayAddendum: My third year with NordVPN and Im having no problems with it (occasionally have to turn it off to gain entrance to a website but can turn it back on). Recent updates make it easy to change the level and form of security based on what you are doing on the internet. Much easier to use than in the past. Ive been using NordVPN for over a year and have communicated with them dozens of time trying to get this app to work on my iMac. But they always responded quickly with suggestions and the software updated regularly. I now reconnect it every morning and test it with Speedtest. Sometimes I disconnect and reconnect a half dozen times before I get a connection that has little impact on speed. I just added it to my 16 MacBook Pro and it worked perfectly from the start with virtually no loss in transfer speed. On the iMac, the VPN protocol is set to OpenVPN TCP. On the MacBook, the protocol is set to IKEv2. The latter is certainly working better so Ill change the iMacs protocol to IKEv2. On both, I have NordVPN set to open automatically after reboot and to close the browsers if it goes down. I also have it installed on Windows laptop and my iPhone. I dont think I was able to get it working on my Amazon Fire TV. Recent update seems correlated with an inability to download files one the mac using OpenVPN. Going to the same sites on the macbook using IKEv2, I am able to download the files.

Greater than one weekRead alot of reviews . Because of some of the negative reviews I only purchased a 1year subscription, just to check it out. Well after some setting adjustments, this VPN Rocks !! Very reliable and super fast. I am not sure were some of the negative reviews were coming from. But as of May 2022 using it in the USA North East, my experience has been great !! Just do some speed test and check what locations and IP they read you from. If you have any issues Nord has alot of info, or do a google search, plenty of info out there. Only issue I had was my edge browser was not using it. I later found my split tunnel settings were incorrect. I installed the edge app, but found I dont even need to use it on my desktop. Thank you Nord !! Peace.......

When I called back days later I was told by another Nord employee that it would never work for that use because of the Smart DNS. It was a waste of money.

> 3 dayNordVPN and its customer support are useless. Installed the desktop app to immediately be told (by the app) that I needed an update. Went to the website and attempted to load the update, only to be told that I couldnt install any update because the app was already installed. Uninstalled the app to no avail - still, NordVPN refused to install a replacement app because it said I still had the app. installed. Ground my way through FAQs and self-help to no avail, doing all sorts of downloading of utilities and reconfig gyrations for nothing. Eventually succumbed to the chat support, worked my way past the bot, only to run into human customer service that put me through the exact same process that failed before. In the end, I ran through three separate uninstall attempts w/o success and ended up being given even more homework from the support rep. I decided to cancel the subscription, which it turns out comes w/ no refund after 30 days, in spite of NordVPN pushing multi-year subscriptions. All that to say that I find NordVPN to be a poor product w/ poor support and refund terms. I caution everybody against buying the product. The product is, in my experience, poor, the refund policy is poor, and their customer service support amounts to uninstall, reboot, install and a lot of homework after that. Just poor from start to finish.
