Nostalgia Premium Snow Cone Party Kit, 3 Syrups, Blue Raspberry, Cherry, Cotton Candy, 20 Cups & Spoon Straws

The texture of the shaved ice is not snow quality, its more like ice chips or ice shards. I am looking for a machine that produces snow texture ice that I do not need to chew. It is also very difficult to lift the top to add the ice. The handle is very slippery and hard to grip if you have fingernails or moist hands. Very Unhappy, returning immediately.

We ordered this snow cone machine for my nephew’s birthday party to give as a gift and then use at the birthday party. We bought the machine then separately purchased some flavors and extra cups, we were ready to party! I also went out and bought several bags of party ice. Everybody was really excited when we opened it and then set it up! It honestly looked really simple, you just dump in ice, shave it and add flavor. Well, after an hour of trying and every single kid eventually losing interest because it wasn’t working, we realized there were no blades in the ice shaver! I’m exaggerating when I say it ruined the party but it was definitely a huge bummer and wasted a bunch of money on party ice and party ice isn’t cheap. Not cool….

So had little bit of problems when I first got it you have to make sure even though it seems like the top pieces push down all the way you have to make sure it actually is if it’s not spinning in the gears are all together in line up other than that it has worked fine I’ve used it a couple times now comes out really nice shaved ice one time the ice didn’t wanna cut and I had to keep on moving the ice around till finally it caught right which was a pain but it’s nice … also it kind of sucks that the ice drops right by the door instead of more towards the back so as soon as you open the door it will start trying to come out

Purchased this for grandson party. Let me just say the kids and adults enjoyed snow cones. Lots of flavors to choose from and easy to use and clean. I bought two 7lb bags of ice and still had a half bag left over. I made about 40 4 ounce cups. I recommend this product.

For the price point this snow cone maker is great. The machine produces shaved ice very quickly. Even though you can only add a little ice at a time it is no problem to reload and keep shaving. I have a chewy ice maker so I use that type of ice for an easier shave. The door on the side is not the most ideal place to scoop the shaved ice which why I gave 4 stars. Another problem is there is no drain for the melted ice. Overall I am very happy with this snow cone maker and would recommend this product.
