Like how it keeps my dry and thin nails from peeling in winter. Absorbs into skin quickly. The bottle arrived in winter weather so it was gelatinous upon arrival and when it came up to room temperature it was perfect. A few drops go long way.

Jojoba oil is a natural plant oil. It is created from the liquid wax of the seed of the jojoba plant, a shrub which is native to southern Arizona, southern California, and northwestern Mexico. Wow! I do not have oily skin -- I have super mega uber crazytown I can see my reflection in your forehead oily skin. Even after I learned it was not good to strip the hell outta it with toners and cleansers (just makes it worse!), my skin would still turn into an oil slick within an hour or two of washing. I finally saw a dermatologist who prescribed a retinoid (Tazorac) which has been a miracle, reducing the oiliness quite considerably to an almost normal level. But since using this jojoba as my daily moisturizer, the oiliness has been non-existent. The difference it has made is *shocking*! My skin is moisturized and has that fresh dewy look -- and it stays that way for hours! Ive been battling extremely oily skin for as long as I can remember. Im not just talking about the type of oily where my t-zone begins to shine mid day. I mean the type of oily where 2 hours after applying my makeup, I look like I accidentally squirted baby oil all over my face. For the longest time, I thought that the way to combat oily skin, was to dry it out as much as I possibly could. I used to go over and beyond to try to keep my skin as dry as possible. I would wash my face with kojic acid soap and purposely not moisturize my face after. I would even apply milk of magnesia to my already dry face in hopes that Id be able to achieve that all day matte look. Unfortunately, not only did all of these methods leave my skin looking unhealthy and dead, but the more I stripped my face of its natural oils, the more my skin would just fight back and produce more! I finally decided enough was enough and did extensive research online to see which home remedies I could try to put my oily skin at bay. Surprisingly, I came across a remedy that mentioned applying oil to your skin to trick it into thinking that its already produced enough and stop it from producing more. I honestly thought this was the craziest thing I had heard...applying MORE oil to my already SUPER oily skin....what?!! But then again, what did I really have to lose? I decided to go with Jojoba oil because its not as heavy as some of the other ones such as coconut or almond oil and I began applying less than a dime sized amount to my palms and rubbing it into my face in the morning and at night after washing my face. I literally began seeing a huge improvement in the oiliness of my skin within a week. Not only was I able to wear my makeup for a significantly longer period of time during the day, but my face started to just have an overall glow to it. My skin now looks firmer and healthier than ever. I love this oil and for the price, you just cant really beat it. Who knew that oil would be the answer to my oily skin problems!

After years of having oily skin, I now find myself with dry, parched skin which is, of course, much worse in winter. Ive been experimenting with a lot of moisturizers, lotions, and oils to find one/some that will work in different weather/seasons, and I can say that jojoba oil is my go-to for cooler weather. I use a different product for the neck and eye areas, but use this liberally everywhere else. I wait a few minutes for it to seep in a bit before I put on foundation and it goes on flawlessly and looks great. (I do usually set it with a light dusting of powder, and sometimes a setting spray, but can easily skip that if pressed for time.) At the end of the day, my face isnt either greasy or chalky. It also doesnt clog my pores, inflame my skin, or cause breakouts. As a bonus, a little goes a long way, so it looks as if this 4-ounce bottle will be with me for awhile. I definitely recommend jojoba oil for the face. That said, this is definitely a YMMV situation since I cant say how it would work for someone with oily/combination skin, someone who is prone to breakouts, or in warm/humid weather*. But its certainly worth a try. (If it doesnt work on the face, its also a great body moisturizer so it wouldnt go to waste.) Now for my one complaint--not about the oil, but the bottle. The lid on my bottle is very loose. It doesnt stay tight, and it leaks. Ive quit using the pop top altogether and take the whole lid off when I use it. It must stay upright, and Id never be able to travel with it using the original container. There were no leakage problems when it was shipped, thankfully, but I noticed it right away when I started using it. Just something to be aware of. *Update: Since the initial review, Ive continued to use this throughout a hot, muggy summer and I continue to be pleased. It absorbs quickly and moisturizes my face without making it greasy-looking. No clogged pores or breakouts even in swampy weather.

I have nearly used up this entire bottle. I wear it on my hair and I put it on my face. On my hair, it makes it feel really soft and on my face, it is not too greasy. The issue though is the plastic container leaks. I do not know how much of it has been loosed due to leakage but I wish there would be improvement so that I can have more of it where I need it and not on my countertop

Redoing this review. After two months there is black mold in the cap. I’ve see others mention the same problem. I’m not sure how to clean it out but I’m very disappointed. The oil does not have a scent and seems to be working well moisturizing my skin. I have not used it on my hair, scalp or face yet. I did transfer to a spray bottle because I didn’t care for the cap dispenser, (it was squirting on my clothes).
