This is my second-ever mechanical keyboard- Ill admit, the low profile switches took a day of getting used to, but now that Im used to it its just as fun to type on while being 10 times as pretty. The keycaps are incredibly high quality and well-designed: no bootleg misprint icons to be found here. The build feels reasonably solid and the hot-swappable switches are a nice touch for if I ever want to try tactiles in the future. Some criticisms: The 2.4GHz dongle, according to the manufacturer, is unencrypted- but also it has a very short range. This makes it fairly useless, as with Macs, Bluetooth is a more reliable option with a wider range, and on PC, the one thing youd want it for, namely writing a boot password, is a security risk. I do not have the equipment or time to test if sniffing is possible, but I would err on the side of caution and use wired mode when your PC is booting. Bluetooth, however, works okay during boot on Mac and in the Operating System on Linux. My second criticism concerns Mac/Linux operation: the firmware is proprietary, and currently, key remapping software is only available for Windows. The manufacturer says the key remapper will also be available for macOS Summer 2022, which I will update this review if they deliver, but Id rather they open source the software and let the community handle it.

This is a good quality keyboard with a very low profile. There are not many keyboards with this profile out there. This does not require a wrist rest but I would recommend one if youre used to laptop keyboard. If you are planning to get away from the smushy and squishy membrane keyboards this is a very good option. I use it primarily for my regular office and personal work on a daily basis. I find it way better than any other keyboard Ive used in the past including Dell and Logitech ones. I have the tactile brown switches which is a good compromise between the clicky and linear switches. The feedback is subtle. I am not much into gaming but I do like the RGB lighting. The accompanying NuPhy console is also very good allowing you to program different aspects of the keyboard like keystrokes, macros, etc. The only thing you need to be aware of is that the keyboard is 20 bucks cheaper in the NuPhy website. I didnt have any issues so far. Ill post an update after I use it for some time.

I tried so hard to like this keyboard that I actually packed it to return it, unpacked it again to give it another shot, only to ultimately pack it up again to be returned... FOUR TIMES lol. The keyboard looks great. Its definitely more thin than most and the keys sound great (I got clicky blue). I am a software engineer and type ~8-10 hours a day, wether for work, gaming or browsing. I have been using my Apple magic KB for years and wanted something mechanical again for a while. I purchased 3 keyboards because I couldnt make up my mind. I got this one, the keychron v4 and the logitech mx mini wireless. The logitech kb arrived first and it was great. It just felt...boring, I guess with no fancy rgbs/ key colors, if thats what youre into. Coming from the magic kb, I had to purchase a wrist wrest for it. The keychron came next but it nowhere near the logitech, imo so I returned it immediately. Last came the nuphy. I loved how it looked and felt out the box. It felt great typing on it before I actually turned it on. I used it for a couple of days and noticed a couple of things though First, I did need a wrist rest for it. It is thin, but nothing like the magic keyboard. I found that even after the first day, my palm was getting a little tingly and using my wrist rest immediately resolved my pain. Second, certain keys, like backspace and enter sometimes needed to be hit twice to register. At first I thought maybe I just wasnt used to the kb yet, but it started happening more frequently and became very obvious. This issue didnt happen a single time with logitech. I tried to overlook it because the kb itself looks more appealing than the logitech, but in the end, I boxed it back up to return it. The logitech feels much higher quality overall and has super helpful features for me like having designated bluetooth keys to easily switch between machines by just tapping a button. I would be interested in maybe trying newer versions of this if they iterate on it in the future.

I want to start this review by saying, I love this keyboard! I really like the textile feel of it — it feels very solid, it’s beautiful, etc. HOWEVER, the battery life fully depletes after a day and a half of working, which is unacceptable. I’m not sure if I just got a bad keyboard, but after browsing other reviews, I am inclined to think this is just how this keyboard is. If you need this to be an ONLY wireless keyboard, for more than 10 hours of work, do not buy this keyboard. You’re going to have to just leave it plugged in for it to work.

I usually don’t leave reviews but there are some products that I feel people should know are worth the money. We ordered one of these for one of our boys who saw a TikTok that said these were the best gaming keyboards. After Christmas my other son had to have one which we order from the manufacturer. (He wanted a different color.). These are definitely worth the money. Very well made…. Even though I am not a gamer I want one of these. I love typing on it!!!

The only bad thing about this keyboard is that the keys dont have transperant marking to let the back light through thus it is difficult to use it in the dark without memoriaing where all the non alphabet keys are.

The keyboard is definitely a great product, but it would sure help if one could rely on something more than intuition to figure out how to set it up. The large, showy sheet of setup instructions has English instructions that read like they were translated from Chinese by way of Latvian and ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics. What are we to make of Short press to switch between devices, long press 3 seconds to enter pairing mode. Plug the 2.4 GHz receiver into your computer before pressing FN + 4? Translation: If you want to use this keyboard with multiple devices, hold down the FN key while pressing the 1, 2, or 3 keys for just a second. This will connect the keyboard with up to three different Bluetooth devices. If, on the other hand, you wish to connect through our high-speed 2.4 GHz dongle (the little black thing that plugs into a USB port), then plug it into a USB port of your computer, then briefly press the FN key and the 4 key simultaneously. There are some videos showing how to remove the keyboard and its components from the box, but I figured out how to open a cardboard box when I was four years old. What I would have liked is a video explaining how to connect the keyboard to my computer. Perhaps theres one in that pile, but I didnt see it. Why isnt there online documentation? The keyboard bristles with snazzy features that are explained on the Quick Guide in the same garbled English. Product designers should understand that a feature that your customers cannot understand is a waste of effort. This is obviously a high-quality product that is sabotaged by execrable documentation and an atrocious user interface. A keyboard that requires documentation reminds me of the first mouse for Windows back in the 1980s: it came with massive documentation. For a mouse! The proper documentation for a keyboard should read: Turn it on. Start typing.

I have gone through many low profile mechanical keyboards. I have used the Logitech g915 TKL, and Keychron low profile mechanical keyboard. The switches on the Logitech felt squishy and just didnt have a good feel to them, also requires software to install to operate it with the its high speed connector. The Keychron was great but the mechanical switches felt very scratchy and inconsistent, for example several of the keys felt great but majority of the keys for the shift and space bar felt scratchy and inconsistent. The switches on these are great, I am using the red switches, each of them are super smooth and there is no spring noise, the travel of each key feels smooth. The double shot pbt key caps are one of the best I have felt, and that being said these are low profile also. The keyboard has a nice THOC sound to it also thanks to the aluminum housing. Whats great is that due to its super thin profile and small nature you can put it on top of your laptops keyboard, and experience a far better typing experience. I did not opt in for the carrying case, but I have a simple padded pouch that I put this into and have had no trouble travelling with it so far. No software needed, everything can be done on the keyboard itself, it has an intuitive lighting system that can relay important information such as battery level, if caps lock is active and different profiles for Bluetooth. There are far more expensive low profile keyboards that feel a lot worse than this thing.

Typing is good and quite precise. Good deal if you looking keyboard for typing and have time and $ to mod it. For gaming would stick with logitech g915 tkl tactile.
