> 3 daySafe for disposal of sharps. Sturdy with good protective top. Sharps containers and disposal of is getting harder and harder. Why? More drug stores should make themselves available and useful in this area.

> 3 dayIn my position as Head of Surgical Training, I had sharps containers in varying sizes in my training facilities, so was familiar with them. When my Neuro Headache Specialist placed me on Emgality (migraine), a self-injectable medication, it was necessary to purchase a sharps container which would not only hold these rather large injection devices, but also have an opening at the top large enough to accommodate the injection device. This sharps device works nicely on both accounts. *If youre not familiar with sharps containers, just remember that they must remain open at all times, until the container is full. At that time, it is then closed and dispensed of, per a very specific protocol. So...you must take care to store your sharps container in a safe place, out of the reach of anyone but you and your s.o..

Greater than one weekI found this sharps container very sturdy, strong and safe. Don’t have to worry about anything sharp penetrating through the container and holds a lot of insulin disposables.

> 3 dayIt was perfect for use for used needles. It was on the large size....so if you have a small area to put it you may want to measure it before buying!

> 3 dayI have tried several Sharps container sizes over the years and this is my favorite. It’s size keeps it stable on the counter or on shelf under the sink.

> 3 dayMy wife and I are both diabetic and a large container like this is ideal at home. My wife goes through at least 6 needles a day and I only have the one lancet. So a large container like this is great. We found that a large container like this is kind of awkward while traveling not to mention that the bright red color advertises NEEDLES. Thats why I rated it a 3 for traveling. When we travel, we use the smaller containers that are easier to pack and hide in a suitcase. The hard plastic shell keeps the lancets from poking through and it takes a long time to fill it up (several months) so in the long run, it pays for itself.
