> 3 dayAs a metal framer and carpenter I have had a lot of tool belts made by all the usual suspects they all wear out quickly because there made of cheap material.I must say that after receiving my new Occidental Leather tool belt there is no doubt in my mind that I will have to buy another tool belt for the rest of my life. The craftsmenship and the quality of the leather are second to none. The fit is perfect and very comfortable and adjusting the size is super easy if you are on the fence because of the price jump off now and rest assure that this will be the last tool belt you will ever buy as you can tell I’m super happy with mine

> 3 dayI’m a carpenter who wears this belt all day long. I’ve only worn the belt for about 3 weeks but here are my initial thoughts: The belt is well made and has lots of room in the pockets. The downside of really deep pockets is that when you sit down with the belt on (like on a slanted roof) the pockets will flip over and empty. It’s possible this could get better with time as the belt breaks in but we will see. The hammer loop catches on my pants belt every time I bend over. It’s extremely annoying. I’m looking for a pad or something that will prevent this from happening. If the hammer loop had been an inch lower it would prevent this issue. If you use Milwaukee clips on your tools and like to hang your drills and impacts from your belt you will be disappointed. The thickness of the leather around the pocket edge is too thick to safely hang the tool. The belt is made very well, high quality craftsmanship. I’m wondering if I may have gone overboard on this purchase and should have gone with a slightly smaller belt (not as deep pockets). I’d definitely buy this brand again, just probably not this model.

> 3 dayMy sister knew that I thought Occidental bags were the best ones out there and she picked out this pair for me. I feel a little guilty because I only use the bags on the weekend when I build at Habitat (they deserve to be used daily) but you just cant find better than these. Theres a place for everything you need and I always have plenty of fasteners. I am quickly getting the reputation for having everything in my bags because I just have so much room. My only (very very small) complaint is that the cell phone holder does not accomodate an iPhone. I really dont mind, however, because the cell phone holder is just clipped on so I slide it off and therefore it doesnt take up any room with a pouch that I cant use. I prefer to keep my phone in my car while Im building anyways.
