I balked at the price, but I couldnt find anything else that seemed like it would do the job. I was AMAZED at the solid construction and the WEIGHT is very reassuring. It holds my 17 inch Dell Latitude perfectly. The clamp width is adjustable. Its not super easy to set at the width you desire but its not too difficult either and you only need to do it once. You can really clamp down on a laptop if you dont plan on needing to ever remove it or leave it slightly loose and have keep the laptop relatively accessible. The interior has a grippy rubber-like finish so the laptop doesnt need to be clamped really tightly to stay secure and you dont have to worry about scratching up the finish. I am using this to increase airflow around my laptop and keep the heat from the laptop away from my wood desktop.

Easily adjustable to the thickness of your laptop! Very sturdy and has anti scratch paddings to prevent your laptop from scratching. Heavy enough to keep laptop from falling / flipping. Nicely build.
