Greater than one weekSo I have alwats purchased the previous blue tube that everyone is talking about. But recently, mu daughter has been getting bad sores in her mouth. Its been months and been told by her dentist about all the possible culprits. (Just fyi, bleeding gums can be gingivitis, vitamind deficiency. Or even the scary c word). After running some blood tests, her results came back good. But left me puzzled on why my 5 year old constantly has sores that take longer than a few weeks to heal. I did some research and quickly realized that a common problem is sodium lauryl sulfate in almost all toothpaste, including the original paw patrol tube. Apparently, sls can cause irritated gums and canker sores. I ended up doing an experiment and bought the most affordable, natural, sls free toothpaste I could find. It has now been about 2 weeks. And all the gum sores she had healed. I was shocked. Fingers crossed that that was the reason for it. Also, I didnt even realize that this is the new formula. Everyone complaining that it changed is correct. Its a new formula, unsure if they discontinued the blue tube. But honestly, I am glad they have this sls free version. Its so much cheaper than the other brands. But i am wondering if the taste is bad, since I read other reviews stating their kids hate the taste. I guess I will be trying it tomorrow!

> 3 dayBeen buying this on frequent subscription for 3 years and our toddler is a loyal customer. This month the tube arrived with a different label - different name - different color paste - and different flavor. It is not going over well with the toddler. She tried it twice and is refusing to use it. Apparently it’s more natural, according to the new name. I can see the paste is now clear instead of blue. We we forced by the toddler to taste-test the old blue paste against the new clear paste and she’s right - it tastes different. Anyhow I don’t recommend this product now, because its a bad idea to make your kid a loyal customer and then be forced to endure their protests, should it be changed again in the future.

> 3 dayI have a preschool aged child, and since we started brushing teeth with fluoride toothpaste it has been a battle. I have spent sooooo much money on probably every brand and flavor and then I discovered the orajel “berry blast” flavor. It is literally the only thing my child will use to brush her teeth. They had it with a unicorn, mermaid, and the Jurassic world themes. When I placed a grocery pick up order that had her toothpaste in it, I received an updated image and the flavor was now the strawberry. The upc is the same as the “old” flavor and everything. I made her try it in hopes she’d liked it and she cried. Gagged. And spit out everything so fast. So I rushed to Amazon and bought two of the Jurassic tubes and thankfully they came in the berry flavor but the now the image is updated and is also the strawberry flavor. I need them to go back to the berry. Please.

> 3 dayWhat on earth made Orajel think this new and improved product should be released to the public? It is not the same product as before, not even similar. My 12 year old daughter has Sensory Processing Disorder and is likely Autistic (awaiting an evaluation, but I am Autistic and she is my twin, so a safe assumption). With extreme sensory sensitivities, it is hard to find any flavor she will accept - we tried approx 20 different toothpastes over the years and she rejected them all. That it a lot of money to waste on toothpaste! So, we were so happy when she accepted the Jurassic World Berry Blast flavor. We have used it for about 4 years now, and her oral hygeine depends on it. Orajel recently changed the forumla, and now my daughter refuses ALL toothpaste! I dont understand why they felt the need to change this product. One look at other recent reviews online and they should be able to tell that children are REJECTING this new flavor change. Not only does it taste completely different, it also looks different - it is clear whereas the original was blue - that change alone will make many kids with sensory processing sensitivities shun the toothpaste. I appreciate any company trying to get more natural ingredients, but not if the product becomes broken due to this change. Naturally sourced childrens toothpaste does nothing at all if the children refuse to use it. Please, please bring back the original product. My daughter will not use any other toothpaste, all other flavors make her gag instantly and vomit. I am so afraid that her oral hygeine will go downhill due to this change. Why even bother calling the new product by the same name/flavor? It clearly is not the same thing. Perhaps Orajel could create a new and totally different natural flavor option and put the previous Berry Blast formula back on the shelves alongside it? It would be wonderful if parents had a choice, rather than being left with no options.
