If you havent been here this wont make sense. Other adapters have this annoying lip that makes it so US plugs wont go into them. These dont have that. You need these. FYI

I use these at work because I go on foreign made ships on a daily basis and need 220 to 110vac adapters. These are my preferred adapter and I have been using this type for about 8 years. I have tried the smaller, rectangular adapters but they do not provide the ground, as these do. If you like to have your electrical equipment properly grounded, use these adapters!

Good design and safe to use in Germany with my electronics that work on 220V, European power supply.

These dont fit into the SMALL (older) EU plugs... these are for the more modern plugs.

Bought these for a trip to France. They worked perfectly and have a lip to grasp when pulling them from the wall. Would recommend.

Now I can plug everything in at my apartment in Germany. I have some left over. These are well-made and easy to use.

Used in iceland. Did not need the ground feature, but bought these because of it, just in case. Seemed very high quality and worked in all the outlets we needed. They are very easy to insert and remove safely, we forgot one at one of the places we stayed, so make sure you check! Glad we bought extras :) This ONLY changes the PLUG, not the VOLTAGE. So make sure your devices you plug into this are rated for 240V They DO fit a polarized US plug (both ways). If you happen to have a device with a polarized plug though, take extra caution to ensure it is rated for 240V. Chances are if it really does need to be polarized (motors, heaters, appliances), then it will not be compatible with 240V.

Worked like a charm in France, Czech Republic (including on the train), Austria and Germany. Highly recommended.
