Perfect fit in Mac Pro 2020.

It works well and is an easy install. The second that I have bought.

Tried using this drive sled in my early 2008 Mac Pro 3,1 (which I love) and it didn’t fit. Thank god I had also ordered the “icy dock” on amazon the same time I placed the order for this tray, and that one fit like a glove. I’m ordering 3 more and replacing all my OEM drive sleds with the icydock or whatever it’s called. Actually here’s the link:

This tool was suggested by a friend and I bought it without checking the label which clearly stated for 2009-2012. So my bad.

Upgrading Mac Pro 2009 to SSD 1TB drive. It fit Samsung EVO SSD perfectly and slid into hard drive bay like OEM product.

These really beat the sort of makeshift adapter that OWC had for their SSD drives before. I love these. Easy to install, and the fact that they’re blue tells me which of my drives I have replaced, which helps me stay organized. These are a no brainer.

Used if in my 2012 Mac Pro. I purchased it to mount a full-size hard drive and it lacked the second set of screw holes to mount the drive. I ended up using gaffers tape for stability.

Works great, seems overpriced and the shipping time was abysmal, but it did the job. I bought a cheaper alternative first that didnt work. Get this one, it works.

Excellent replacement sled. Well worth the price to ensure you dont mess up the backplane when upgrading to an ssd. Its made of decent quality metal, and fits the original slots well. Normally I find OWC products too expensive for what I am doing, despite their stellar reputation. But as of this writing there isnt much else out there for sled replacements, especially ones that dont require an adapter, and the asking price is definitely reasonable.

Second one Ive bought, and still super easy. High quality construction, perfect fit. Four screws and bye bye clicking and whirring, hello speed and reliability. My classic Mac Pro is again big and sexy!

OWC Mount Pro 2.5" Drive Sled for 2009-2012 Apple Mac Pro

Add any 2.5" Hard Drive or SSD to your Apple Mac Pro!

While designed with the OWC Mercury brand SSDs in mind, the OWC Mount Pro 2.5 is the easiest way to add ANY 2.5" Hard Disk Drive or Solid State Drive to your Apple Mac Pro (2009-2012 "Nehalem" & "Westmere" models).

The powder-coated aluminum and open design assists in heat dissipation while the blue color not only looks sharp, but allows you to tell at a glance which bays contain 2.5" form factor drives.

Installation is a breeze. Simply attach your 2.5" drive to the bracket using the four included hard drive mounting screws and swap with an existing 3.5" drive tray. The OWC Mount Pro 2.5 perfectly aligns the SATA connection from your 2.5" drive into the back plane SATA ports on the Mac Pro.

Note: Not for use with Mac Pro models released in 2006, 2007, or 2008
