OWC 2.5-Inch Drive Sled Mount for Apple Mac Pro

Well made, they appear to be a casting but still very rigid and they fir the MacPro perfectly. I used one to put a Hynix Gold SSD boot drive in one of my older Mac Pros I use for an old simulator box. Big improvement! These blue trays are a bit pricey like most OWC stuff, but everything aligns well with no problems. If you are installing quality parts, these are a nice bit to finish off your project.

This drive sled fits perfectly inside my Mac Pro 5,1. The price is a bit higher than that of others but I guess you pay for the quality. I wish it came in different colors - especially aluminum like Apple originals.

This is the best tray for 2.5 drives in a Mac Pro, but consider NVMe SSD for more speed instead.

This is a simple, elegant solution to mounting a 2.5 drive in Mac Pros. Positioning the drive to plug directly into the ports on the motherboard means fewer connections and far less to go wrong that designs that use an intermediate circuit board.

I like the simplicity of this device. Really easy to put together. Nice fit, too.

I needed to modify some card positions in the main chamber of the Mac Pro 5,1. Because of its thickness and heft I was able to drill and cut the sled to accommodate my changes. And of course, the sled also works just fine without any modification. Great Product and fast delivery.
