Park Tool Wag-4 Professional Wheel Alignment Gauge

Excellent product from Park Tools. It is easy to use and accurate. Within the matter of minutes youll know whether your problem is an off-centered/misaligned wheel or not. Of course, you will need other tools to center your wheel, i.e. Spoke wrench, ideally a truing stand or true the wheel on the bike itself, etc.

It does the job, but adjusting the gauge is annoying because it moves as you tighten the knob. It can only really be used with the wheel in the stand, because you need to grasp the gauge with as many fingers as possible (to hold it still) while you rotate the knob with whatever leftover fingers you have left. The WAG 3 is a much better design.

This tool has all the adjustments you need to fit a multiple selection of wheel sizes. Compares to the tools I have used in the many bike shops I have worked in all over the world. The best factor is the lightness.

This is a well constructed tool that works very well. As a Pro wheel builder, you have to have this (or equivalent). However, a Pro Quality truing stand can get so close that this becomes more of a final check. I dont want to discount the value of this tool, but with other (high quality) wheel tools, this would be lower on my list of (higher-end) shop tools. No matter how accurate the wheel, I prefer to finfish the wheel in the actual bike.

I bought this to get the dish right on a wheel I was having trouble with after replacing a few spokes and truing. Woked great to help me get it right. Not a pro and do not use it a lot, but when I do, works fine.

When you pay for getting racing wheels trued you might expect them to be dished correctly. I got this because I got a rear wheel back that was way off to the left. It turns out that most of my wheels are not correctly dished, because this tool doesnt lie. Now I have the fun of re-dishing most of my wheels, but at least this will help me ensure they are perfectly aligned. It is adjustable for several wheel sizes, and can be used without removing the tires.

Its a great tool if you are one of those who is obsessed with being precise. I good wheel truing stand will easily get you close enough though. As for quality; Park Tools never disappoint.

This iitem does what it is designed for. For long-term use, and not having to rely on a bike shop or mechanic, the price was reasonable.

Plastic blocks wont scratch your rims. I like this feature. I used this on 29 in rims. I had no problems. It works well. It is very sturdy.
