To cut a quilt out. Love the serrated knives that cut to the point. Also the handles are good for my arthritis.

Best scissors ever

Ive been using these for applique since the day I purchased them. They do cut an edge that is less raveled than one that is cut with regular fabric scissors. I purchased the smaller ones to keep in my sewing box at all times. I highly recommend them if you do a lot of hand-sewing and applique.

Comfortable in hand, sharp; everything you want in a pair of scissors.
