Excellent carabiner, If im using an auto lock carabiner these are the ones that I use, I see it as one of those go big or go home ideas, and they offer an extra peace of mind if I ever need to carabiner a kid into a harness knowing that if they start to play with them theyre going to have a hard time opening them and in all honesty theyre not any harder for anyone who plays with them for a bit to be able to open them with one hand without much thought (though if you have smaller hands it might be a bit harder but not impossible). As for shape, pear or D shape, it depends on what you like and what youre using it for. In which case do your research or ask someone. TL;DR: Only locking carabiner I use, allows peace of mind when i carabiner kids in so that they cant open them easily.

Habe mir dieses Karabiner gekauft um beim gehen in der Seilschaft oder auch beim Abseilen einen Karabiner mit hoher Verschlusssicherheit verwenden zu können. Angenehm überrascht war ich, dass ich den Ball-Lock auch mit dicken Handschuhen relativ problemlos bedienen kann. Bin rundum zufrieden.

I use this for TRX, so I cant comment on its use for climbing. It works great for attaching my TRX to a tow strap that goes to a high rafter. Id buy again it if I had a similar need.
