I had an old Pinnacle program that I used for over 10 years and I loved it! Then I decided to use the Pinnacle 25 and I have had nothing but trouble with it. When I ask for help, they do respond but they want me to do higher tech things to fix a new program. I think that something new should work properly and I should not have to make many tech moves to get it to work.

I have been using Corel Draw for 30 years and have used Pinnacle studio since version 7. I made over 300 professional diving videos with Studio 7-9. I loved the product and the results helped me land a gig with The Amazing Race. So when it came time to make videos for my employer for You Tube and Facebook naturally I chose Studio 25. Though a lot has been added over the years the appearance was recognizable and I went right to work. Since then it has been nothing short of a pain in the butt. I would add a clip and split the sound to adjust noise reduction and the sound in the edit mode shows graphically but you cannot hear it. I would have to close the program and go back in only have it to work until I made another adjustment. The same happened when i added music to the background. I was expecting this clip to take less than an hour to complete. I already have 8 hours on it and it is still not finished... making me look like an idiot in front of my boss. I would be happy if you brought back Studio 8! This version should have not made it out from Beta. WAIT... it gets worse. I contacted customer support last Thursday 2/9/22 (from some foreign country) and it is Monday 2/14/22 and I have yet to hear back from them. I gave it 2 stars simply because I love the original programs and know what it can do. Otherwise... 1 star!

I have used Pinnacle for years. From my first version 17 it was easy to use and had more features than I could ever use. This new version seems faster processing, contains more features yet keeps the basic format so Im not re-learning the basic format.

I havent seen such bad software since the 90s! Heres a partial list of problems I had with it: 1) Video clips got cut short when importing 2) Video clips got garbled after editing (ie, jerky, jumpy quality) 3) Screen recorder produced poor quality recordings - worse than many freeware programs 4) Preview didnt correspond well to video, making it impossible to edit with any precision 5) Program froze frequently 6) Tech support experiencing higher call volume than usual I would rather get a root canal than work with this software again. Luckily, I found a freeware video editor with a cheap upgrade that works vastly better than Pinnacle Studio!

It took a while for me to get Pinnacle Studio 25 installed and then working. Once I had it installed, all my other applications began to work slow. If I printed a document, it would take 5 minutes to print. After a couple of days nothing would work. So I contacted Geek Squad and paid to have it fixed because their customer service was useless. Geek Squad remote couldn’t fix it after four attempts, so they told me to bring my computer in and leave it with them. They had to remove everything and reinstall my factory applications and I had to reinstall the applications I had previously installed. While I edited one video that took over twelve hours to upload, this product cost me too much money and time that I can’t get back. Thus, I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy.

I have used the Studio product for over 10 years with limited success with the import function. Even though my PC exceeds the requirements with processor, memory and video it still would lock up on import. The new version 25 while I was importing a DVD the video would duplicate making editing a nightmare. Unfortunately I downloaded the product and cant return. Be very careful and consider other alternatives even if they cost more money.
