Needed to replace latched that fell off our trailer. Easy install and work as described.

Super duty gravity locking latches. Added to stake sides on a Harbor freight trailer, 2 left, 2 right, actually these are are made so that you you can have 4 lefts, 4 rights or and combination of the four. I used two vice grips to get mine in position and then drilled the holes. The latches work great and clamp down tightly... These are super duty, the steel is almost 1/4 inch. box weighed about 5lbs with all 4 latches. The only thing that could make this kit better is if it came with 12 2 1/2 bolts and 8 3 Bolts, washers and nuts. What a fantastic bargain and quality hardware.

Great product, just what I wanted!

This hardware is sturdy. I installed on the front and end gates of a utility trailer that I built on a trailer frame kit. A template would have been helpful, as you had to figure out how the latch and keeper engaged. Importantly, the ad description failed to mention that these can be installed handed left or right. So thats a plus. An improvement could be to review design so that mounting bolts on latch and keeper better avoid interfering with each other on the inside of the trailer. Note that youll need to buy your own mounting bolts and they add up at most retail stores. Overall very good value.

I built one of the cheap trailer kits and this latch finished up the project. I looked at all the stores in my area and could not fine something to close my tailgate I built. Then I looked on Amazon and here it is the latch I needed.
