Ive taken this bag on several trips and this wears with beautiful character. The zipper, stitches, and brass accents will last. Buy one and enjoy.

I like it for traveling.

This is absolutely the best leather duffle bag you’ll find for under $800. There’s tons of cheap goat leather bags on Amazon for a third of the price, but you get what you pay for. This is American cowhide leather, make no mistake about it. That’s why this is a $280 bag and not a $70 bag. From the overbuilt shoulder sling to the YKK zippers, no detail of the hardware was overlooked. It compliments the amazing quality of the leather. I’m going to use some leather conditioner to protect it and give it a bit of a start on a patina, but besides that you won’t need to do anything for this bag. This is as close to heirloom quality as you’ll find without going completely custom. I was looking at a lot of $800-1500 options and I couldn’t justify the purchase based on the quality when this was an option. A true 10/10. I won’t hesitate to recommend their products again. I’d say I’d buy from them again but honestly this bag WILL last a lifetime.

For a very long time, Ive been using a black, Dakota weekender duffel made of ballistic nylon, that has served me well. It has two side compartments and a center compartment with a flap top. Its light and strong and very generic looking. Did I mention Ive had it for a long time? I decided that I wanted something new, that had more of an Indiana Jones look, that was more stylish, a bit bigger, and made of leather. I gravitated to the Polare products as I already own one of their sling bags in leather of the same type and color and absolutely love it. It didnt really occur to me that I would have a matching pair so to speak if I got their weekender too, but now I do! The quality of this duffel is outstanding. The leather is beautiful and the stitching flawless. The zippers are clearly top notch and all of them feature leather pulls that arent going anywhere.In addition to the side and center compartments, there is one on the front that will hold my smallish tablet and wider/deeper items like cables and adapters and another in front of that that will hold flatter things like travel documents. On the back is another flat, zipped compartment. All compartments are lined with some sort of nylon to make cleaning inside a breeze. There is a shoulder strap provided that has brass, quick release connectors, that look like they are very heavy duty. The duffel is comfortable to carry by hand or over the shoulder. It will easily hold enough for a 5+ day trip. I have never received a compliment for my luggage, but after a recent trip to the Caribbean, Ive gotten several, especially with the sling bag along for the ride. I might just relic it a bit by dragging it down a country road behind my truck...NAH, I wont do that. But Id bet it would hold up just fine if I did and look great afterwards too!

Was really shocked at how heavy the bag was

When I received it, it looked like a yellow canvas, not what I ordered. I immediately started the return process. My wife insisted that I open it anyway. Glad I did. The bag was packed in a yellow canvas bag and sealed in a plastic bag. The bag is heavy duty leather, stitched well, feels very sturdy and the size is perfect for three day weekends. Looks like it should hold up for many years.

Ive purchased OTHERS that unfortunately were of lesser quality, cheap leather, horrible zippers. Lesson learned. READ Several reviews first. This bag is everything that the reviews I read said it was. I like it so much I bought another for my son in laws birthday gift. You wont be disappointed.

Overall I like the bag. Something solid in the bottom would make it less flimsy. Other than that a really well built and nice looking bag. I’m keeping it. It’s worth the extra money.
