I’m not a plasticsmith so I can’t say how this polycarbonate plastic sheet compares to the next; but the plastic looks great, seems tough, and is easy to work with. To cut the sheet in half: I measured and marked with a fine tip dry erase marker, scored it ten or so passes with a utility knife, and then slightly flexed it for a surprisingly clean break. Lightly sanded the edges with fine grit sandpaper - the result was perfect and took no more than 10 minutes.

It is what I was looking for to put on top of my fist tank. I have not attempted to cut the material to fit the area. The thickness, the clear vision through the glass material and obviously the price, especially for what I need it to do.

Hard to work with, cracked while cutting.

Exactly what I was expecting when I ordered it. The edges were a little roughly cut, but otherwise exactly what I wanted.

In reviews of this product quite a number of persons commented that this plastic sheet was easy to cut -- My reply: What were they using to cut it--a band saw? I tried a new #11 X-Acto blade; then a utility knife with a heavy-duty blade; then a heavy-bladed paring knife honed to a razors edge--I can cut through chicken bones with this knife with hardly any effort. I finally had to resort to heavy kitchen shears that go through plastic blister pack material like butter -- I still wound up with an uneven line that had to be sanded straight. Perhaps other reviewers were mentally comparing this to sheet metal or quarter-inch Lexan? Unless you have the strength of 2 men or access to industrial grade cutting tools, do not buy this thinking it can be cut easily using standard hobbyist tools. If you need this product regardless of relative cutability, please consider also purchasing a thin kerf saw to go with it. It is a good quality product / Most persons will not find it easy to cut -- Honest!

I needed a glass plate I could have cut to size to fit in my tray but was unable to find any glass that fit the measurements that I could get in a timely fashion or at a manageable price. it was 2 inches too long on the long end but I had no issues getting it separated by making two cuts on either site, bending the sheet and then cutting it again it scratched fairly easily from my scraper due to it being a plastic but as long as I was careful it held up for the whole semester and served its purpose well. If youre in a pinch and need a glass surface for keeping and mixing your oil paint as I did, this should last you about half a year or so, though if you can get it, real glass is preferable for that purpose.

I bought this to cut to make a window in a chicken coop, cut nicely, was exactly what I was looking for for this particular job.

En mi país una lamina de esta cuesta mas del doble de lo que me costo esta, su manipulación es muy sencilla y me ha permitido utilizarla en varios proyectos, incluidos un soporte para una pantalla que tenia disponible.

Polycarbonate is a superior clear plastic sheet compared to Plexiglass/Acrylic
Sheets can easily be cut, milled, and drilled with any standard tools (hacksaw, jigsaw, snips for thin sheets, standard drill bit, etc.) without the cracking or fracturing you would find in Plexiglass. Additionally, Polycarbonate can be bent neatly. Thin sheets can be bent cold with sheet metal techniques, while thicker ones are easy to shape with the help of a heat gun. It is also perfect for thermoforming or vacuum forming. This makes Polycarb perfect for both DIY and professional projects around the home, shop, or for manufacturing.

Shatter Resistant & Strong
Polycarbonate has great mechanical properties, making it often considered as a safer option than glass sheets or acrylic sheets. Tensile Stress: 63 MPa. Flexural Stress: 90 MPa. Rockwell Hardness, R: 120

High Optical Clarity
Light transmission of 88-90%, tested at 2.54mm thickness per ASTM D1003

Electrical Resistivity
Volume Resistivity: > 1.0E15 Ohm-cm

Protective Film on BOTH SIDES
This product is shipped with a thin protective film on both sides. Please peel this off to expose the clear sheet. You can mark onto this film while working with the material, then remove it to expose a pristine surface.
