Tight fit and good knurling.

I got this psp 1000 cap just for my new 3ds xl as a replacement for my c-stick. I also wanted to test it against the red Lenovo super low profile trackpoint cap because that was regarded as the best. I didnt even go inside of the console, I just ripped the entirety of the c-stick off, leaving nothing behind. You dont have to go through that hassle, and you shouldnt. Despite the psp 1000 cap having a larger surface area, it did not have a great fit, which made it very hard to control. The Red Lenovo Thinkpad cap, on the other hand, fits perfectly right out of the box and is level with the other buttons. This made it extremely responsive and really easy to control, contrary to the psp 1000 cap. My recommendation? Pick up the Thinkpad one, its way better.

If youre looking to use this to mod your 3DS, buy it. Its a major improvement over the c-stick, well worth the effort. The gameplay (aiming in particular) for shooting games improves 1000 times over.
