> 3 dayThese were very easy to integrate with Google home. App is intuitive and links easily with Google. As other reviewers have mentioned, they do stick out from the outlet about 1.5. This wasnt an issue for me and would all depend on placement of the outlet. If youre tight on space this may not be the option for you, but they do work GREAT!

> 3 dayI set these up in Smart Life app for iphone. Setup was easy. They control my bug zappers, so they turn on a dusk and off at dawn. Scheduling them was easy, and I can even enable Alexa voice control if I want through the app.

Greater than one weekThere really is dont need to download the app that this requires. The app is the same layout just like other smart apps that control light bulbs, Outlets, switches and other items that may be in your home. I used the wbm smart app and it seems to connect to everything that I have. If that app does not connect to it then I use the Smart Life app. I have both of these apps connected to my Google SmartThings. Once it is added to one of these two apps then it will automatically show up on the Google SmartThings app. The nice thing about these plugs are that they are small enough to where they do not cover the other outlet. I paired them with my wbm smart app without any problems and as stated before they automatically appeared in my Google SmartThings app. I give this five stars and two thumbs up. If anything should happen in the future I will update my review.

18-11-2024I tried repeatedly on several ocassions to make these outlets connect but they will not recognize my AT&T network. My router uses the same network name and password for both its 5G and 2.4G signal (this device only uses the 2.4G signal) but this device will not connect. I was very much looking forward to using this device because of its smaller footprint, but Ill have to send these back and order more of the larger Alexa plugs.

> 3 dayThese are not the first Porik mini smart plugs I’ve ordered. I have four of these configured to control old-school electric fans in my home. They are so handy and easy to use that I decided I needed a couple more for fans in other rooms. Not only do these turn the appliances on and off (when summer is over, I’ll probably use them for other appliances and non-smart lamps), but you can set timers or schedules with them. I already had the Osaio app on my phone and tablet, so this was easy enough. I did have a bit of difficulty adding these two new WiFi plugs when my tablet was connecting through my WiFi extender. I may have had the same difficulty last time. I changed to the main network router, made sure the new plugs were in visual range of the router, and also, as the manufacturer recommends, kept the device with the app pretty close (within about a yard) to the smart plugs. That worked easily. Once they’re recognized/registered, you can move them to more distant outlets within the range of your WiFi. The app recommended that I update the firmware on the plugs once they were recognized, which was quick and easy. You can initially name the plugs through the app, and when I placed them in the outlets where I’ll be using them, I renamed them so I knew what they were controlling. I’ve included a number of screen captures. The Osaio app is good—not all manufacturer WiFi apps are great, but I’ve never had a problem with this one. That said, I also use Google Home to control these plugs because it consolidates my smart bulbs, too. So when I’m done for the night and getting into bed, I use Google Home to power down everything—though sometimes I use the timers on one or two of these plugs to keep the fans going for another hour or two. I’ve just become addicted to the smart home devices and these Porik plugs work really well. The app, as mentioned, is a good one; the size of the plugs is compact (though if you have these in a standard outlet, you’re not going to be able to plug anything huge in the outlet above or below it—but there are ways around that, like an extension cord for the other thing); and these are priced VERY reasonably. My home keeps getting smarter. I wish I could say the same for myself. Though… these are a very SMART purchase

> 3 dayFor about $5 per plug/socket, you cant go wrong with these smartplugs. I was a little worried that the instruction sheet mentions installing yet another app called Osaio to control this plug. However like the listing states, the SmartLife app works with this as well. I already have several plugs that use that app and didnt want to register yet another app. I used Insteon devices for years, but the company went belly up so I ended up replacing them all with other brands. Insteon requires a hub and recently a new company bought them out but now charges a yearly fee for connectivity. As with most smartplugs during setup, you have to change your network on your phone to 2.4GHz as it will not connect at 5GHz. Once it is set up, you can change the network back to 5GHz. These plugs will not allow side by side plug-in on multi-outlet (6) adapters due to being a bit too wide. They measure 1 and 7/8ths inches in diameter. I can never get these plugs to auto detect using the SmartLife app and usually use the manual method when presented during setup.
