I have not had one issues yet since Ive owned this product. I dont have Alexa, so I cant tell you how well that works with it. But I use it with my iPhone and it works for me.

This works with generic apps like SmartLife, which is great. I can configure my temperature probe (also SmartLife compatible) to turn on and off fans at different temperatures. Setup was the typical process and not eventful. It just works. I will update this review if that changes, but for now, I can recommend it.

For about $5 per plug/socket, you cant go wrong with these smartplugs. I was a little worried that the instruction sheet mentions installing yet another app called Osaio to control this plug. However like the listing states, the SmartLife app works with this as well. I already have several plugs that use that app and didnt want to register yet another app. I used Insteon devices for years, but the company went belly up so I ended up replacing them all with other brands. Insteon requires a hub and recently a new company bought them out but now charges a yearly fee for connectivity. As with most smartplugs during setup, you have to change your network on your phone to 2.4GHz as it will not connect at 5GHz. Once it is set up, you can change the network back to 5GHz. These plugs will not allow side by side plug-in on multi-outlet (6) adapters due to being a bit too wide. They measure 1 and 7/8ths inches in diameter. I can never get these plugs to auto detect using the SmartLife app and usually use the manual method when presented during setup.

These plugs are extremely high tech and user-friendly it’s amazing that you can use your Alexa to program your lights to be turned on and off at your leisure without having to be at home

This is my second pack of these plugs they are great to add to normal devices that you might want to turn on without going near it while it is powering on. I use these for my exercise bike, my 3D printers, and even my air compressor in my basement. I can turn them on and get things started so I don’t have to wait right next to them for them to complete their start up routines. The only problem I always have with these smart plugs is they only use 2.4 GHz and not 5 GHz. I have my network running both 2.4 & 5 GHz using the same Wi-Fi name so I always end up having issues connecting only to the 2.5GHz on my phone and the plugs. So here is my work around that might help you if you are having connection issues like I do. Temporary rename your 5 GHZ network on your router and leave just the 2.4GHz network the original network name. That way when you connect to the 2.4GHz network with your phone or other device and then complete the setup normally. After the setup is completed you can go back and rename the 5GHz network back to the original network name and everything will work as normal.

These are physically large. Both in width and depth. A little over an inch deep, and a little under 2 inches in diameter. When you add the plug, you have a fair distance from the wall to the end of the plug. Ignore the programming instructions in the insert. You do not need the OSAIO app, instead download Smart Life app and use that. BE SURE YOUR DEVICE IS on 2.4 GHz when programming. The Smart Life app will walk you through install, I had to use the manual version, it would not find them automatically. The Smart Life app will also allow you to connect it to Alexa or Google, do realize it takes a minute or two once connected for the voice commands to work.

I dont think it was the product that was the problem, but the OSAIO app. that was associated with outlets. Every couple of weeks they had to be reprogrammed. Then they didnt like being associated with Alexa and that was enough. There landfill now.

I bought a 4 pack to use on indoor security cameras that I didnt want running all the time. I used the Smart Life app to integrate them with Alexa and they work great. So far I have just used them with the on/off function and havent used the schedule/timer but so far Im very happy with them.
