#1 the PS2 Controller turns off at start of a new game load or a disk swap. You just need to turn it on again by pressing the psp center button again. Has happed every time, minor annoyance. My older controllers did not have this issue. Issue #2 Charging a controller will automatically become Controller ONE, even if it was not turned on and connected only to charge, therefore removing and taking over as controller one when you already have controller one turned on. Charging a controller while using controller one turns off controller one and sets the charging controller to controller one. This means you will have to turn off all controllers, start controller one, then plug in the controller you want to charge. This never happened with older controllers. Also if and when controller one is turned off, the charging controlling you just plugged in suddenly becomes controller one even if you didnt turn it on. This is very annoying because you have to start over again. Tested it many times. Can only guess as to why this might happen. #3 Controller is not as heavy as original types. Other than that, the controllers work just fine and are good. Thanks

Controllers made in China. Tested it out with the game Lair and the advertised sixaxis motion control functionality doesnt work. Passes the look test and the buttons work ok. Dont know if it actually has dualshock or not and dont care. Gonna throw it in a drawer and move on. Hey at least I saved you twenty bucks with this review.

To be honest, I didnt buy these controllers to use as intended or even to use on a PS3. But I think theyre the most affordable way to build your own custom controller. They work well in Windows and Linux as typical PS3 controllers, and the board is easy to solder to. One thing to watch out for is that there are two common grounds, so be sure to use one ground for L3/R3, Start, Select, PS, and another ground for Triangle, Circle, Square, Cross, D-Up, D-Left, D-Right, D-Down. See my attached pictures for the circuit schematics on how to do that properly.

Dont waste your money. These controllers never charged. The only way they can be used is if they are still connected to the Playstation. I have returned these and have found original Sony controllers on Ebay.
