President Richard 10 Meter Ham Radio, 50W PEP

The President Richard is the best bang for the buck. Mod to 11 meters, simple. Dont care for the 6 pin mic but you can get a adapter ( 6 to 4 pin). MAKE SURE you get the RIGHT ONE! You can program just about everything with this radio & even go to advance mode & adjust power up to 80W & modulation past 100%. But do this at your own risk as you can damage the radio. As for - 1 star. These radios are said to be made in Minsk, Belarus or Naples Florida....... WRONG........Bought mine on 9/16/22 and the label on the back says ( Made in PRC-----Peoples Republic of CHINA). I checked it for Covid 19 & the fortune cookie that was in the box says USA Dummy-Thanks for the $$$

This radio is useless without SSB mode...Hardly any 10 mtr AM activity....And for FM you would need to have a CTCSS encoder/decoder for the FM mode to use it with repeaters....Not a really good radio to use for 10 meters....This is just a converted CB to 10 mtr radio.....

This is the best radio I ever owned. I hope it lasts a long time.

I wasnt impressed at all with this radio, But could be just me. How ever I have it for sale at half price and went for a General Lee instead. How ever cant say its bad product but it just wasnt working for me and instruction book really not easy to follow.

Here is how to modify the President Richard for CB radio operation: 1) Open it up and install a Jumper Wire where the picture shows the circled image. (You can also look at the review from Notachi where he uses a Red jumper wire at the same location.) 2) Then go into the menu & enter code 1234 at the PD menu location. (PD 1234) 3) Now you have a High Performance CB Radio.

Did the 11 meter conversion. Red jumper wire in pic. It has to be soldered onto board. Easy task if you have the experience. If not I highly recommend against it. Look online for the steps in menu to set it up after jumper wire mod
