> 3 dayWhen painting, I like to use alternatives to paint brushes for experimentation. Previously, I had been using the flat surface on the backside of paint tubes. I saw a YouTube video where an artist was using one of these wedges, so I decided to give it a shot. It allows you make some interesting gestures that smoothly move the paint. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for something different for painting (particularly abstracts!).

> 3 dayThis is an artist’s tool for spreading paint etc. It’s very comfortable to hold and easy to use. It’s flexible and cleans up great.

> 3 dayMy ex was a painter and would drag me to art stores periodically and i saw one of these in Dick Blicks and i had no clue what it was but i started playing with it and immediately thought of using it as sort of a flexible bench-knife spatula combo. I was right. I now have multiples of them and using them in baking applications more than most other tools. As a hand tool i have better tactile feeling vs using a handled spatula and it feels less clumsy. It doesn’t scratch or scrape against metal mixing bowls or metal kitchen tables or stone counter tops. Its a little blunt to be using for dividing doughs and such but i still use it 9 out of ten times. It’s stiff but maneuverable with a fatter “handle” end that tapers down to the business end.

> 3 dayI kept telling myself that an old hotel key (or in my case, my library card) was just as good, but no, this is better. Really glad I invested a few dollars here.
